realme Buds Q Review

realme Buds Q Review – First of all, I love wireless earbuds because I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts and audiobooks using wireless earbuds (I have four pairs of wireless earbuds now).

When I first tried these realme Buds Q, I was instantly impressed with its build quality, given its bargain price point. It’s only AU$79 at realme Australia website!

What’s in the box?

  • realme Buds Q × 2 (left and right)
  • Charging Case × 1
  • Micro-USB Charging Cable × 1
  • Instructions, safety information and warranty × 1
  • Eartips (large/medium/small) × 3

Is it easy to pair?

I made sure that my S20’s Bluetooth is on and took realme Buds Q out of the box, then my phone instantly recognised there’s a new device ready to pair. Voila! It’s connected. As simple as that. Plus, it’s Bluetooth 5.0. Alternatively, you can download their app to customise the earbuds.

How does it sound like?

I’ve tried earbuds that cost 4 times of these and surprisingly these realme Buds Q are comparable in terms of sound quality. It’s got powerful bass for those who listen to Hip Hop and R&B music. So far so good!

How’s the battery?

It’s great, so far I’ve only charged it once in the past week. It’s got a 400mAh battery in the charging case, realme claims it can last up to 20 hours. So it’s got the tick of approval from me.

Is it comfortable?

Yes, I feel they’re more comfortable than my 3-year old Jabra 65t (check out our review on Jabra Elite 65t). It’s super light. It weighs only 3.6 grams each.

How’s the control?

Well, I must say it’s not as straightforward to control as my other earbuds.

The physical buttons require you to double-tap to play/pause music or answer a call and triple-tap to skip to the next song. I’m still getting used to this though.

Is it water-resistant?

Yes, the earbuds are IPX4 water resistant.

  • Micro-USB, I reckon it should be USB-C in today’s world.
  • Signal dropouts sometimes happen when walking.

realme Buds Q Review – Verdict

I’d highly recommend these pair of earbuds for those who are still using their wired earphones and do not want to spend too much on wireless earbuds. You can get them for only AU$79 at realme Australia.
