Jabra has announced the launch of its Evolve3 series headsets in Australia, marking a significant shift in professional audio design with the introduction of boomless microphones powered by deep neural network technology. The new lineup includes the Evolve3 85 over-ear and Evolve3 75 on-ear models.
The Evolve3 series addresses a persistent challenge in workplace audio, where 99 percent of knowledge workers report that poor sound quality impacts their online meetings, with call quality ranking as the top pain point in headset use. Despite this, only 20 percent currently use enterprise-grade headsets, with 46 percent bringing consumer headsets to work that often lack the clarity and compatibility needed for professional communication.
Jabra’s response is a headset that delivers professional-grade performance while meeting consumer expectations on design. The company has eliminated the traditional boom arm microphone in favour of a sleeker design that works just as well in the office as it does during travel, commuting, or leisure activities. This represents a notable departure from previous models like the Evolve2 85 and 75, which featured visible boom arms.
The core technology behind the Evolve3’s voice clarity is Jabra ClearVoice, which combines deep neural network technology with multi-microphone algorithms. Drawing from GN’s broader technological capabilities, the DNN model processes multiple layers of sound data to isolate the user’s voice from surrounding noise. The system has been trained on over 60 million real-world sentences, enabling it to distinguish speech from background noise with high accuracy even in challenging environments.
In practical terms, the ClearVoice technology captures 96 percent of words accurately across various tested environments, reaching 99 percent accuracy in open office settings. This level of performance supports voice-driven AI workflows, allowing professionals to use voice input for prompts, commands, and dictation while on the move. Voice input proves up to three times faster than typing, making it particularly useful for mobile or screen-free scenarios.
The Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation on both models responds in real time to environmental changes and how the headset fits. Unlike many headsets that disable ANC during calls, the Evolve3 maintains noise blocking throughout conversations, not just between them. This continuous noise cancellation works alongside spatial sound technology to create more natural and less fatiguing call experiences.
Both the Evolve3 85 and Evolve3 75 are designed as the most compact and lightweight options in their respective classes. The Evolve3 85, aimed at users needing maximum immersion and noise isolation, is 35 percent slimmer and 23 percent lighter than the Evolve2 85. The over-ear design suits professionals working in louder environments who require full focus. The foldable design includes a compact storage case for portability.
The Evolve3 75 offers an on-ear fit that provides lighter, more breathable wear with greater situational awareness. This makes it well-suited for hybrid workers who need to remain aware of their surroundings while maintaining professional audio quality. The more compact form factor enhances everyday mobility and travel convenience.
Battery performance is substantial across both models. The Evolve3 85 delivers up to 25 hours of call time or 120 hours of music playback with ANC and busylight disabled, while the Evolve3 75 provides 22 hours of call time or 110 hours of music listening under the same conditions. Fast charging support provides up to 10 hours of use from just 10 minutes of charging via cable, with wireless charging also available.
The headsets feature replaceable batteries designed to extend product life and comply with repair legislation. This sustainability focus extends to the use of recycled and bio-circular materials, replaceable ear cushions, and TCO generation 10 certification.
For IT teams, the Evolve3 series integrates with the Jabra Plus Management software, enabling remote device management, firmware updates, and centralised configuration through a dashboard. The headsets are certified for major UC platforms and include a pre-paired Bluetooth adapter for secure connectivity, with Bluetooth Native support for direct device connection.
End users can customise their experience through the new Jabra Plus mobile app, which offers equaliser controls, wind noise reduction settings, and quick firmware updates. A desktop version of the Jabra Plus app will become available later in 2026.
The Evolve3 series supports the LC3 audio codec for high-fidelity music playback, positioning these headsets for entertainment use alongside professional applications. Both models are available in black, with a warm grey variant coming to select markets from April 2026.
The Jabra Evolve3 85 and Evolve3 75 will both be available from March 1, 2026, with recommended retail prices of A$979 and A$719 respectively.
