Edifier NeoBuds range brings premium audio and noise cancellation for all-day wear

Edifier has rolled out three new true wireless earbuds designed to handle everything from commutes and gym sessions to work calls and weekend adventures. The NeoBuds lineup addresses the core demands of modern earbuds users: excellent sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and battery life that actually lasts through a full day.

The flagship NeoBuds Planar stand out with their 12mm planar magnetic drivers, a technology that delivers ultra-precise sound reproduction across a wide frequency range. The planar magnetic design uses 2nd generation EqualMass patented wiring technology to counter-balance magnetic field distribution and achieve equal weight across the diaphragm. This means every part of the diaphragm moves with the same momentum, resulting in exceptional transient response and low distortion.

Edifier has enhanced this further with symmetric supporting wiring, making the diaphragm steadier than previous generations and enabling piston-like motion across the entire audio spectrum. For audiophiles who care about these technical details, it translates to cleaner, more accurate sound reproduction.

The NeoBuds Planar carry Hi-Res Wireless certification, guaranteeing lossless high-resolution audio transmission with support for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound and multiple HD Bluetooth codecs including LDAC and LHDC 5.0. Multipoint support lets you switch between devices without the usual Bluetooth headaches, while 3rd generation Qualcomm Hybrid Adaptive Noise Cancellation technology keeps outside noise at bay.

Each earbud houses three AI-powered microphones for call clarity even in noisy environments. With IP55 dust and water resistance, these earbuds can handle outdoor conditions without worry. Battery life reaches 30 hours with the charging case, and both USB-C and wireless charging options are available.

The more compact NeoDots offer similar audio quality at a lower price point, supporting the same HD Bluetooth codecs including LDAC and LHDC 5.0. Gamers will appreciate the built-in game mode providing 80ms low latency, reducing the audio delay that can throw off timing in competitive games.

Inside, the NeoDots use hybrid driver units combining balanced armature and 10mm dynamic drivers, paired with digital signal processing and active crossover for superior sound quality. The noise cancellation extends to -48dB depth, which is impressive for earbuds in this price range. Battery performance is particularly strong here, delivering up to 17 hours on a single charge and extending to 56 hours with the charging case.

The NeoBuds Pro 3 take noise cancellation further by adding an independent feed-forward noise cancellation channel. This allows the earbuds to adjust the cancellation pattern based on ambient noise levels, maintaining comfort and immersion across different environments. Edifier’s wide-band multi-channel Active Noise Cancellation pushes the depth to -50dB with noise cancellation bandwidth extending to 4kHz.

Call quality gets upgraded with four AI-powered microphones in each earbud, optimised specifically for wind noise resistance up to 25km/h. This makes outdoor calls far more practical than with most competing earbuds. Battery life sits at 36 hours with the charging case.

The NeoBuds Pro 3 also introduce immersive spatial audio with real-time head tracking. A built-in gyroscope and accelerometer track head movements, adjusting sound direction and depth instantly to create a three-dimensional listening experience. This feature has become increasingly popular in premium earbuds, and it’s good to see Edifier including it at this price point.

All three models support customised EQ and controls through the EDIFIER ConneX app, letting users fine-tune their sound preferences and manage settings.

The Edifier NeoBuds Planar retail for A$299, NeoDots for A$189, and NeoBuds Pro 3 for A$269. All three models are now available at Officeworks stores across Australia, giving buyers the choice between flagship planar magnetic audio, gaming-focused performance, or advanced spatial audio with premium noise cancellation.
