Razer Reclusa Mini 65% brings hot-swappable magnetic switches and wireless gaming to a compact keyboard

Razer has announced the Razer Reclusa Mini 65%, a compact wireless gaming keyboard that combines Hall Effect magnetic switches, hot-swappable customisation, and adjustable actuation. Designed for gamers who want competitive gaming features without sacrificing typing comfort, the new keyboard also focuses on acoustics and personalisation.

Following the introduction of the Reclusa X Mini 65%, the new Reclusa Mini 65% expands the series with magnetic switch technology and wireless connectivity. It retains the compact 65% layout while offering more flexibility for gamers who like to fine-tune their keyboards.

At the heart of the Razer Reclusa Mini 65% are Razer Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, which allow users to customise the actuation point of individual keys between 0.1 mm and 4.0 mm.

This means gamers can configure certain keys to respond to the lightest touch, particularly useful in fast-paced competitive games, while setting others to require a deeper press to prevent accidental inputs. The flexibility also makes the keyboard suitable for everyday typing, where a slightly heavier actuation might feel more comfortable.

The keyboard supports Rapid Trigger technology, allowing keys to reset dynamically as they are released rather than requiring them to return to a fixed reset point. This makes rapid, repeated inputs easier to execute, particularly in games that rely heavily on movement and precise timing.

Razer has also included its Advanced Input Control features, such as Snap Tap, Snap Flex, and Dual-Keypress Priority. These provide additional control over how simultaneous or consecutive keypresses are registered.

Users can save up to six profiles directly on the keyboard, making it convenient to switch between different gaming configurations without having to recreate their preferred settings.

While performance is important, Razer has also paid attention to how the Reclusa Mini 65% sounds and feels during everyday use. The keyboard incorporates an IXPE switch foam sheet, PPS plate, lubricated stabilisers, and dual-layer silicone dampening. These components are designed to reduce unwanted vibrations and case resonance while producing a fuller, cleaner typing sound.

According to Razer, the keyboard delivers a distinct clacky sound with a cushioned bottom-out feel, without requiring additional modifications. Of course, typing sound and feel are subjective, so the actual experience will depend on personal preference.

The Razer Reclusa Mini 65% supports three connectivity options, making it suitable for both gaming and everyday productivity.

For wireless gaming, the keyboard uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless over a 2.4 GHz connection, designed to provide low-latency performance. Bluetooth connectivity is also available, with support for switching between up to three paired devices.

Those who prefer a wired connection can use USB Type-C, which enables an 8,000 Hz polling rate. This allows the keyboard to report inputs to the connected computer up to 8,000 times per second, although the practical benefits over lower polling rates may be less noticeable outside competitive gaming.

A multi-function dial is also included, giving users convenient access to controls such as volume and lighting brightness without interrupting their game or workflow.

One of the more appealing aspects of the Reclusa Mini 65% is its hot-swappable PCB, which allows users to replace compatible magnetic switches without soldering. This gives keyboard enthusiasts the option to experiment with different magnetic switches and customise their preferred typing experience over time. Razer also includes a 2-in-1 keycap and switch puller to simplify the process.

The keyboard comes with tri-tone doubleshot ABS keycaps, which are designed to resist fading and maintain their legends through extended use. South-facing LEDs also improve compatibility with a wider selection of aftermarket keycaps.

For lighting enthusiasts, per-key Razer Chroma RGB provides access to 16.8 million colours, allowing users to customise individual keys and match the keyboard’s lighting to their gaming setup.

The combination of hot-swappable magnetic switches, interchangeable keycaps, and RGB lighting makes the Reclusa Mini 65% a more flexible option for users who enjoy personalising their peripherals.

Razer Reclusa Mini 65% combines enthusiast keyboard features with technologies traditionally associated with competitive gaming. Hall Effect switches, adjustable actuation, and Rapid Trigger are increasingly common in gaming keyboards, but having these alongside hot-swappable magnetic switches, wireless connectivity, and an acoustically tuned construction makes the Reclusa Mini 65% an interesting addition to Razer’s lineup.

The keyboard is listed at AU$229.95 RRP. For more information, visit the official Razer Reclusa Mini 65% product page.
