The EPOMAKER TH80 V2 Pro is a 75% mechanical keyboard that feels equally suited to a day of work and an evening of gaming. Its gasket-mounted construction, Sea Salt Silent V2 switches (the review unit I have), screen and metal knob give it plenty to explore, but the typing experience is what makes the strongest impression.

Moving from a tenkeyless keyboard to a 75% layout often means retraining your fingers, especially when reaching for F1. EPOMAKER has left a narrow RGB strip beside the function row, which places F1 where I expect to find it on a tenkeyless or full-sized board. It sounds minor until you need that key quickly during work or a game.

Typing feels satisfyingly solid and cushioned, with the deeper character I look for in a mechanical keyboard, but without the noise that usually comes with it. I could comfortably use it for work or late-night gaming without worrying as much about disturbing my partner or children.

The quiet switches are an important qualification to the advertised “thocky” sound. This configuration has a pleasant, restrained sound rather than the pronounced clack some enthusiasts might expect. If you prefer a different feel, the hot-swappable PCB accepts compatible 3-pin and 5-pin switches without soldering.

I used the TH80 V2 Pro for typing and casual gaming across its connection options. Wired and 2.4GHz wireless felt similarly responsive to me, including when playing FPS and MOBA games. That is an observation from use, rather than a measured latency result: EPOMAKER lists 2ms latency for wired mode and 5ms for 2.4GHz. Bluetooth is convenient for everyday typing and casual games, but I would choose wired or 2.4GHz for fast-paced play.

The keyboard supports Windows, Mac and Android, with the ability to switch between multiple paired devices. That flexibility makes sense for someone who works across computers during the day and games on another system later. It also means the dongle has a clear purpose beyond being an extra accessory in the box.

EPOMAKER specifies a large 10,000mAh battery and an estimated 40 to 200 hours of use, depending on the screen and backlight settings. I have not measured a full discharge cycle, so I would treat that range as a guide rather than a tested result. If battery life is your priority, the screen and RGB settings are the obvious controls to adjust.

Choose the 2.4GHz or wired connection for faster games, and consider a different switch if you want a louder mechanical sound.
