Belkin has expanded into content creation accessories with two new products designed for creators who need reliable gear without breaking the bank. The Stage PowerGrip and Stage Creator Kit are now available in Australia, marking the brand’s first venture into wireless microphone territory after four decades of consumer electronics.
The Stage PowerGrip is essentially a magnetic camera grip that pulls double duty as a power bank and phone stand. It’s an interesting approach to solving multiple problems at once – shaky footage, dead batteries (we know how fast the battery goes when you are recording videos or taking photos with your iPhone), and awkward angles all sorted with one accessory. The grip connects to your iPhone magnetically and pairs via Bluetooth, letting you trigger the shutter with a button press rather than fumbling with the screen.
Inside there’s a 9.3K mAh battery capacity that can charge up to three devices simultaneously. You get 7.5W magnetic wireless charging for your phone, USB-C output ports for other devices, plus a retractable USB-C charging cable built right in. There’s an LED screen showing battery percentage, which saves you from guessing how much juice is left during a shoot.
The ergonomic design makes holding your phone steadier during video recording, and when you’re done filming, it converts into a stand for reviewing your footage. There’s also a quarter-inch tripod attachment built into the base, so you can mount it onto the Stage Creator Kit or any standard tripod setup.
Speaking of which, the Stage Creator Kit bundles three components together – the Stage Tripod, Stage Magnetic Phone Tripod Mount, and Stage Wireless Microphone. The tripod adjusts from 0.44 metres up to 1.7 metres in height, supports up to 2kg of weight, and uses a universal quarter-inch mount. Belkin added spirit levels on both the mount and base, which is a nice practical touch for getting level shots without eyeballing it.
The magnetic phone mount weighs just 88 grams and has an adjustable head for different angles. It snaps onto MagSafe-compatible phones securely, making it quick to set up when you need to capture something spontaneously.
The wireless microphones are Belkin’s first attempt at audio gear, and they’ve gone with a clip-on design that works within a 100-metre range. Each microphone runs for up to six hours on a single charge, and they come with a charging case that extends total usage to 36 hours. There’s an eight-minute quick charge feature if you’re in a rush, plus you get a USB-C receiver and USB-C to USB-C cable in the box.
Both products target vloggers, TikTokers, and anyone creating video content on their phone. The pricing sits in the accessible range rather than the premium tier, which makes sense given Belkin’s aim to serve both hobbyists and professionals who want dependable gear without the high-end price tag. The Stage PowerGrip (A$99.95) and Stage Creator Kit (A$199.95) are designed for creators who film content wherever inspiration hits, keeping devices charged and footage stable throughout the process.
