The iPhone 18 Pro isn’t exactly a cheap phone to repair, so putting a decent screen protector and case on it is (I think), a must. I’ve been using Belkin’s Titan SmartShield Pro Anti-Reflective Screen Protector and Protect Series Case on my iPhone 18 Pro, two accessories designed to protect the display and body without drastically changing how the phone looks or feels.
Belkin also has two other Titan SmartShield Pro options for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, including a Blue-to-Red Screen Protector and a Bright Privacy Screen Protector. I haven’t installed those two, so I’ll cover what they offer rather than pretending I’ve had hands-on experience with them.
PACKAGING CONTENTS AND UNBOXING

The Titan SmartShield Pro Anti-Reflective Screen Protector (and also the other two variants) comes with the screen protector itself, an Easy Align installation tray, dust removal sticker, cleaning cloth and alcohol wipe. Belkin includes everything required to clean the display and install the protector at home.
The Protect Series Case is naturally much simpler, with the case itself being the main item inside the packaging.
BELKIN TITAN SMARTSHIELD PRO REVIEW – DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
I’ve installed plenty of screen protectors over the years, but I really like Belkin’s current installation system because it works differently from many of the trays I’ve used before.
After cleaning the iPhone display using the included accessories, you place the iPhone screen-side down into the installation system and close the lid. You then pull a tab out, which applies the screen protector to the display as the tab is removed.

It sounds slightly unusual the first time you see it, but in practice it makes installation very simple. As long as you clean the display properly and place the iPhone into the tray fairly quickly afterwards, before another piece of dust gets a chance to land on the screen, there’s very little to worry about.
My installation came out really well with no trapped dust underneath. This is probably one of the better installation systems I’ve used, particularly if installing screen protectors manually makes you nervous.
Belkin calls it its Close-and-Pull installation system and claims it is designed to provide precise, bubble-free and dust-free installation at home. My experience certainly matched that description.
The Titan SmartShield Pro itself is 0.33mm thick. You can definitely see the edges of the screen protector when looking closely at the iPhone, and from the side you can tell there is an additional layer of glass sitting on top of the display.
Once you’re actually using the phone, however, I can’t see any noticeable degradation in display quality or brightness. Everything still looks as it should on my iPhone 18 Pro, which is exactly what I want from a screen protector.
The Anti-Reflective model also uses an anti-fingerprint coating and Belkin’s anti-reflective treatment to reduce glare while maintaining the colours of the display.
PROTECTION FOR AN EXPENSIVE DISPLAY

Screen protectors are one of those accessories that hopefully never need to prove how useful they are.
Belkin says the Titan SmartShield Pro uses what it calls Nano-Titan Technology, adding a reinforced layer designed to absorb shock. The protector has been third-party tested to survive impacts from heights of up to 9ft or 2.7m. Belkin also says its internal testing resulted in no visible surface damage after up to 10,000 scratch cycles using a weighted steel wool applicator.
I’m obviously not going to intentionally drop my iPhone 18 Pro from 2.7 metres to verify that claim. However, I’ve used Belkin and other tempered-glass screen protectors in the past, and I’ve had protectors crack after a drop while leaving the actual phone display intact. That’s precisely what I want the protector to do. I’d much rather replace a cracked A$49.95 screen protector than deal with replacing an iPhone 18 Pro display. It gives me extra peace of mind whenever I’m carrying the phone around.
OTHER TITAN SMARTSHIELD PRO OPTIONS

Belkin has also introduced a couple of more specialised Titan SmartShield Pro protectors. The Titan SmartShield Pro Blue-to-Red Screen Protector costs A$59.95 and is designed for the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The protector uses quantum-dot technology to convert blue light into red light, with Belkin positioning this as a way to reduce eye strain and support sleep.
It otherwise shares many of the features of the Anti-Reflective model, including Nano-Titan impact protection, anti-reflective treatment, an anti-fingerprint coating, the Close-and-Pull installation system and the claimed 9ft impact protection. I haven’t installed this model, so I can’t comment on whether the blue-to-red technology makes a noticeable difference during extended use.
There’s also the A$59.95 Titan SmartShield Pro Bright Privacy Screen Protector for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Privacy protectors are useful if you regularly use your phone on public transport, on flights or in other crowded environments where you don’t necessarily want the person beside you reading what’s on your screen.
One of the usual compromises with privacy screen protectors is reduced brightness. Belkin says its light-transmittance technology keeps the display up to 10% brighter compared with conventional privacy protectors and can improve battery life by up to 10% under controlled testing conditions. Results will naturally depend on the phone, settings and usage.
It also includes anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint treatments, Nano-Titan protection, Face ID support and the same Close-and-Pull installation system. Again, I haven’t installed the Bright Privacy model myself, so those brightness and battery-life figures are Belkin’s laboratory claims rather than something I’ve verified.
BELKIN PROTECT SERIES CASE – DESIGN AND PROTECTION

I’ve also been using Belkin’s Protect Series Case on my iPhone 18 Pro. One of the immediate benefits is grip. The naked iPhone can feel quite slippery in the hand, whereas the case gives me more confidence when picking it up and carrying it around. Belkin uses textured edges specifically to provide a more slip-resistant grip, and there’s also protection around the physical controls.
The downside is that adding any protective case changes how the phone feels. The Protect Series Case adds some weight compared with using the iPhone naked, and the covered buttons feel slightly stiffer to press. Belkin describes the case as thin and lightweight, and compared with heavily ruggedised cases it certainly isn’t excessively bulky, but you’re still going to notice that there’s now a case around your phone.

The raised edges protect the whole iPhone too. Around the back, the camera lenses don’t directly contact a flat surface when the phone is placed down. Flip the phone over and the raised front edge similarly keeps the display slightly above the surface.
Belkin says the Protect Series Case has been independently tested according to MIL-STD-810G standards to survive drops from heights of up to 13ft or 4 metres. It also uses Belkin’s Nano-Titan Technology, which the company says absorbs shock, reduces overheating and helps prevent discolouration.
The Protect Series Case supports both MagSafe and Qi2 charging. That means if you’ve recently purchased a newer Qi2 charging stand or dock, you won’t have to remove the case every time you want to charge the iPhone wirelessly. Belkin also says the Protect Series Case is manufactured using a minimum of 92% recycled plastic.
BELKIN TITAN SMARTSHIELD PRO AND PROTECT SERIES CASE
The Belkin Titan SmartShield Pro Anti-Reflective Screen Protector and Protect Series Case make a good combination for protecting the iPhone 18 Pro without going overboard.
I’m particularly happy with the screen protector installation system. The Close-and-Pull mechanism removes much of the anxiety from lining up and applying a protector manually, and my installation came out clean with no trapped dust. Once installed, I haven’t noticed any degradation in display quality or brightness during normal use.
At A$49.95, it’s certainly more expensive than the generic tempered-glass screen protectors you can find online, but you’re also paying for the installation system, Belkin’s anti-reflective coating and its tested impact protection. The A$59.95 Protect Series Case adds useful grip and protection around the screen and cameras while retaining MagSafe and Qi2 compatibility. The compromises are predictable: the phone becomes a little heavier and the covered buttons aren’t quite as effortless to press as they are without a case.
The Blue-to-Red and Bright Privacy Titan SmartShield Pro models are more specialised alternatives at A$59.95 each. I haven’t tested those two personally, but the Blue-to-Red model looks aimed at users concerned about blue-light exposure (or those who are on screen almost all the time), while the Bright Privacy version is likely to make more sense for people regularly using their phones around others.
