The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is a robot vacuum and mop combo that makes a strong case for being one of the best all-rounders in its class right now. If you’ve been following my robot vacuum reviews on Craving Tech (like the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow from Roborock and also from other brands), you’ll know I’ve been putting these things through their paces for a while — and the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is a step forward in nearly every area that actually matters in daily home cleaning.
This is one of the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro reviews out there and hopefully I can give you some different perspectives based on my own personal tests.
ROBOROCK QREVO EDGE 2 PRO REVIEW – PACKAGING CONTENTS AND UNBOXING

In the box you’ll find the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro robot, the Multifunctional Dock 3.0 Hygiene+, mop pads + a dust bag (both already installed), and the usual documentation. The dock itself is a substantial unit — don’t expect this to tuck away neatly in a corner without some planning. Give it a proper spot with access to power and good clearance for the robot to dock and exit freely.
ROBOROCK QREVO EDGE 2 PRO REVIEW – DESIGN AND FEATURES
The Qrevo Edge 2 Pro has a clean, white finish that looks smart against most floor types. At just 7.98 cm tall, it is notably slim — and this isn’t just a spec on paper. I can confirm that it slides under our sofa and cleans out the dust that’s been quietly accumulating down there. The RetractSense Navigation System handles this automatically: the LiDAR tower retracts when it senses low clearance and extends again in open spaces. It’s a well-engineered solution to a real problem, and after 10,000+ tested lift-and-retract cycles, you’re not going to wear it out anytime soon.

The dock is the real headline piece here. It handles auto dust emptying (up to 65 days between manual clears), auto detergent dispensing, mop washing with up to 100°C hot water, 55°C warm air drying, and self-cleaning of the dock base itself. It does a lot — which also means it’s a sizeable footprint on your floor.
Features & Performance
Comparing the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro directly to the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow I reviewed previously, the differences are clear almost immediately. Bigger mops, larger water capacity in the dock, and — most importantly — it actually cleans the floor better. My family walks barefoot at home, and the difference in how clean the floors feel after a mopping cycle is noticeable enough that other members of the household commented on it without being prompted. That’s a pretty reliable real-world test.

The reason for that improvement comes down to two things working together: the dual spinning mops running at up to 200 RPM, combined with a maximum downward pressure of 12N. These mops aren’t just dragging across the surface — they’re really scrubbing it up. Add warm water mopping into the mix and you’ve got a setup that handles everyday grime without any manual follow-up needed.
There’s also a surprising new feature that I’ve never encountered before: the automatic mop detachment. Modern robot vacuums typically lift their mops when crossing carpets, which works well enough for low-pile rugs. But if you have thick or tall carpets, even a lifted mop can still transfer moisture. With the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro, you can configure it to fully detach the mops at the dock before it heads out. It’ll vacuum the carpets first, return to dock, reattach the mops, and then do the vacuum-and-mop pass on your hard floors. It’s a smart workflow that solves a problem I’ve had with previous models.

Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance
The Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is noticeably more confident navigating around the house compared to the Curv 2 Flow. One area where this shows up practically is on small steps or slight level changes between rooms — the kind that would previously cause the Curv 2 Flow to get stuck and require a rescue. The AdaptiLift Chassis, which can handle thresholds up to 4 cm, handles these transitions cleanly. I rarely had to go looking for a stranded robot.
Obstacle avoidance is handled by a combination of structured light and an RGB camera, and it recognises over 200 types of objects — including the tangled charging cables that tend to appear on floors. In practice, it avoids most obstacles reliably. The one caveat I’d flag is that smaller flat objects, like a thin paperback book left on the floor, occasionally get run over a little bit rather than avoided. It’s not a frequent issue, but worth knowing if your household has young children who leave things around.
The FlexiArm Arc Side Brush and Edge Mopping System deserve a mention here too — these aren’t actually gimmicks. Watching the bot work its way along a skirting board or into a corner, you can see the side brush extending out to reach spots a standard brush would miss entirely. Edge coverage is thorough.

Anti-Tangle and Pet Hair
The dual anti-tangle system — combining the DuoDivide Main Brush with the FlexiArm Arc Side Brush — is certified for a 0% hair tangling rate, and based on my experience that holds up. We have a long-haired Chihuahua at home (so probably not a really good test case) but my wife has long hair. After multiple cleaning cycles, I haven’t found the brush wrapped in a mess of hair the way older robots would get. If you’re living with a Golden Retriever or anyone with particularly long hair, this feature alone could save you a significant amount of maintenance time.

App and Smart Features
The Roborock app is very well-designed and gives you a lot of control without being overwhelming. A few highlights worth calling out: you can set the robot to automatically boost suction when it detects a carpet — just be aware that at maximum suction, the noise level picks up considerably. The Do Not Disturb mode is thoughtful too; you can configure it to suppress specific actions like auto dust emptying while docked, which makes a fair amount of noise and isn’t something you want happening at 11pm.

SmartPlan 3.0 handles AI-driven room-by-room decisions automatically — adjusting cleaning behaviour based on room type and usage patterns. After a run, you can check photos of any obstacles the robot identified during its session, which is a useful way to audit what it’s been navigating around. There’s also a built-in voice assistant (“Hello Rocky”), two-way audio via the dock’s speaker, remote viewing and controls, and more. It’s a lot of capability bundled into one app.
Matter protocol support is listed as coming via a future OTA update, which will make integration with Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa setups cleaner.
ROBOROCK QREVO EDGE 2 PRO REVIEW CONCLUSION
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is the most capable robot vacuum and mop I’ve used in the house so far. The mopping performance is an upgrade over previous models, the slim design actually delivers on its under-furniture promise, and the self-cleaning dock removes most of the maintenance friction that used to come with owning one of these. I really love the 100-degree hot water mop washing that really cleans the mop pads inside out, the customisation options inside the app, and even little things like the visible Red LED indicator on the dock when it’s running out of clean water.

If you want a robot vacuum that does the full job — vacuuming, mopping, and keeping itself clean — the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is the one to get right now with the complete package. The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is priced at A$2,799 and is on discount at the moment for A$2,299.
