Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow Review: Advanced Roller Mop Technology meets Powerful Cleaning

Traditional robot vacuums with spinning mop pads have a fundamental flaw: they recirculate dirty water across your floors. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow tackles this problem head-on with its SpiraFlow roller mop system that continuously cleans itself with fresh water during every mopping session. Priced at A$2,499, this premium robot vacuum combines powerful 20,000Pa suction with innovative mopping technology to deliver what might be one of the most comprehensive automated cleaning solutions available today.

Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow Review – Design and Features

The roller mop works through a four-step process that keeps it fresh throughout the entire cleaning session. First, eight precise hydration points evenly distribute clean water across the 270mm extra-wide roller. A built-in precision scraper then removes excess water to prevent drips and streaks, keeping the roller optimally damp for efficient mopping. The motor-powered roller spins at 22RPM with boosted downward pressure, lifting wet spills and stains effectively. Finally, the system lifts dirt and debris with the scraper, filters out larger particles, and stores all dirty water in a separate tank.1

In practice, this means every pass across your floor uses fresh water rather than recirculating dirty water. This comes with a small trade-off where you need to clean the smaller dirty water tank on the robot occasionally. During a full month of testing with two to three cleaning sessions daily, I only needed to empty it once and it wasn’t even half-full. This is very reasonable considering the benefit of always mopping with clean water.

The 270mm extra-wide roller provides excellent coverage with minimal streaks left behind. It’s particularly effective in open living rooms and long hallways where the wider coverage reduces cleaning time significantly. The roller can extend dynamically during edge cleaning, reaching within 10mm of walls and furniture edges for thorough coverage along baseboards and corners.

The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow delivers 20,000Pa HyperForce suction, which tackles everything from deep carpets to stubborn floor gaps effectively. Combined with the 2.5x boosted mopping pressure, this robot handles tough stains with ease. The mopping pressure mimics the power of human hands, making it ideal for wet messes like ketchup, coffee spills, or muddy pet prints.

Powered by AI dirt recognition, the DirTect Technology instantly identifies the type of mess in its path and adapts accordingly. For heavy dust, it boosts suction to capture every particle. For spills and wet stains, it switches to mop-only mode, lifting both the side brushes and main brush to prevent cross-contamination. This intelligent adaptation ensures the right cleaning strategy is applied every time.

When the robot approaches carpeted areas, the roller lifts up to 15mm and the Innovative Roller Shield automatically deploys, forming a physical barrier that blocks moisture and dirt. This multi-layer safeguard ensures true wet-and-dry separation. I can confirm this works brilliantly with our carpeted area in front of the couch, which remains completely dry after mopping sessions.

If your house consists of a mix between carpets, tiles, and wood or timber flooring, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow handles them all safely and accurately per floor type. You can even set it to clean all carpets in the room first before mopping, or set up invisible walls to prevent the robot entering certain areas. The bot detects steps/stairs too and it intelligently adds our steps to the backyard as a Cliff No-Go Zone into the map. The customisation options are extensive, including different vacuuming power levels for different times of day and automatic boost when it detects carpet.

The cleaning tray design keeps clean and dirty water separate to prevent cross-contamination. The upgraded tray fully soaks and scrubs the roller in both directions for a deep, thorough clean with its 720-degree dual spin feature. The water tanks have enough capacity to last days depending on how often you run cleaning routines, and it’s easy to throw out the dirty water and refill with clean water.

The dock provides 75°C high-temperature mop cleaning, which helps loosen stubborn dirt, food residue, and greasy stains from the roller. This achieves a 99% bacteria removal rate, supporting a more hygienic floor clean. After washing, the dock dries the mops and base thoroughly with 55°C warm air, preventing mold growth and unpleasant odours.

Before each mopping session starts, the robot returns to the dock to hydrate the mop properly. This preparation ensures optimal mopping performance from the very first pass across your floors.

The PreciSense LiDAR Navigation scans and creates detailed maps in real time, determining the most efficient cleaning route. The mapping is exceptionally accurate, handling our first floor that contains multiple areas and rooms without issues. The robot can even detect objects during cleaning and take photos of them if you allow it, so you can check later through the app. It can take photos of your pets just for fun too.

The obstacle avoidance is admirable, powered by structured light and an RGB camera that recognises over 200 types of common clutter. With a five-year-old toddler who constantly places toys and small bikes around the house, the robot navigates confidently and accurately, even when cleaning around dining table chairs.

However, it’s not perfect. There are occasional times when it gets stuck, and once I found it tangled in our Christmas tree cords, which pulled the plug out of the wall. This doesn’t happen often as it generally detects cords and small objects well, but it’s worth noting that no obstacle avoidance system is completely foolproof.

The Roborock app is well designed and manages to separate all kinds of different settings and functions effectively. You’ll get notifications when your cleaning schedule starts and if the robot encounters any issues during the clean. The app provides launcher widgets for one-click access to custom cleaning routines, and there’s even an Apple Watch app for quickly starting cleanups or checking status.

One entertaining feature is the ability to remotely control the robot yourself and speak through its microphone. This isn’t just fun but can be useful if you need to convey a message to someone located far away in your house.

The robot feels like a complete package with vacuuming, mopping, mapping, scheduling, and extensive advanced features and customisations. You can fine-tune nearly every aspect of its behaviour to suit your home and lifestyle.

The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is not dead quiet, especially when it returns to the station for cleaning and maintenance. However, we’re comfortable scheduling it to run at 10:30pm without it being too disruptive. Just make sure to disable the Carpet Boost feature if you’re running it at night, as the automatic suction increase when it detects carpet is notably noisy. Also, it has a Do Not Disturb Mode that you can customise to minimise the amount of noise (such as making the voice alerts quieter or even to disable auto emptying bin).

Built with privacy at its core, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is TÜV certified to the ETSI EN 303 645, the leading cybersecurity standard for consumer IoT devices. Camera functions are switched off by default and activated only with your permission, giving you control over how the robot uses its visual sensors.

The roller, scraper, dirty water tank, and other key components are designed for quick removal, making routine cleaning and maintenance simple and hassle-free. Everything detaches easily for deep cleaning when needed, which is essential for maintaining optimal performance over time.

Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow Review Conclusion

After a month of testing the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow in our household with a toddler, mixed flooring, and the usual chaos of daily life, I can say this is the most capable robot vacuum I’ve used

The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is an exceptional robot vacuum that delivers on its promises. The SpiraFlow real-time self-cleaning roller mop system represents a significant advancement over traditional spinning pad designs, providing consistently clean mopping with fresh water on every pass. The powerful 20,000Pa suction combined with intelligent DirTect Technology ensures thorough cleaning across all floor types.

The carpet protection works brilliantly, keeping our carpets dry through the combination of roller lift and physical shield. Navigation and obstacle avoidance are impressive, handling complex environments with multiple rooms and obstacles confidently. The multifunctional dock eliminates most hands-on maintenance with its hot water cleaning and warm air drying systems.

It’s amazing how much time we’ve saved just to let the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow does its magic multiple times, daily. We’ve scheduled it to vacuum after breakfast, lunch, and do the whole clean (vacuuming and mopping) while we are going to bed. Our house remains striking clean even with a 5-year old toddler and a 1-year old baby. Plus, we can use our time for something else more productive than vacuuming and mopping the house.

At A$2,499, this is a premium product with a premium price tag. However, the comprehensive feature set, advanced technology, and impressive real-world performance justify the cost for those seeking a truly hands-free cleaning solution. The extensive customisation options and well-designed app make it suitable for various home layouts and cleaning preferences.

For anyone looking for a high-end robot vacuum that excels at both vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is an excellent choice that represents the current state of the art in automated home cleaning.
