MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller Launches in Australia with Continuous Fresh-Water Mopping and 36,000Pa Suction

A robot vacuum that mops with clean water the entire time, not just at the start, is one of those features that sounds simple but is actually pretty hard to pull off consistently. That’s the core pitch behind the MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller, which has just launched in Australia as the brand’s new flagship roller-mopping robot.

This all thanks to a technology they called HydroForce 2.0, a four-step continuous cleaning cycle that sprays fresh water onto the roller mop, mops the floor, scrapes off dirty water, then recovers it, all in real time. The idea is that the mop never has a chance to get saturated with grime and drag it across your floors, which is a frustration we all might have with older-style spinning mop robots. The roller also spins at up to 800 RPM to keep the fibres lifted and active, and applies 18N of downward pressure to get into dried stains and stubborn spills.

Suction sits at 36,000Pa, which puts it firmly in the upper tier of what’s available right now. For carpets, MOVA’s AutoShield technology automatically lifts the roller mop by 13mm and deploys a protective cover when the robot transitions onto a carpeted surface, keeping things dry where they should be dry. The side brush lifts 10mm simultaneously.

Navigation-wise, the Z70 Ultra Roller uses RGB AI SmartSight with Dual 3D Structured-Light and built-in LED fill lighting for low-light environments. The LiDAR module retracts via FlexScope navigation for furniture with clearance down to 10cm, and the StepMaster 2.0 system handles obstacle crossing up to 9cm, which should cover most sliding door tracks and carpet edges without getting stuck.

Edge cleaning gets an upgrade through MaxiReach 2.0, with a 52mm swing arc and 10mm smart adaptive edge-hugging.

The self-cleaning base station does the heavy lifting on maintenance: it washes the roller mop at up to 100°C, dries it at 70°C, and sterilises with UV light. The dust bag holds up to 4L, which MOVA claims translates to around 125 days of hands-free operation. The 6400mAh battery also charges 30% faster than the previous generation.

From what I can see, the Z70 Ultra Roller is definitely aimed at the premium end of the market and I’ve reviewed a few of these robots here at Craving Tech (like this Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro). It’s geared towards those who want a robot that handles the full home, including transitions between hard floors and carpets, without needing to babysit it. The 3-year warranty and included one-year accessories pack are strong signals that MOVA is trying to compete on total cost of ownership. The Red Dot Award for Product Design it picked up this year doesn’t hurt either. It does look sharp in both Natural Stone Black and Brushed Metallic.

MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller – Brushed Metallic is available for $2,999 at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and Harvey Norman where as the Natural Stone Black colour is available via the MOVA AU website with the same price.
