Huawei has announced additional new machines to the MateBook Family coming to Australia: MateBook X Pro 2021, MateBook 14, and MateBook D 14.
I’m still in love with my HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2020 (make sure to check my review out) which is a beast machine and really well-designed. The new model is keeping that same design and principles, with an upgraded spec.
Like the predecessor, the new MateBook X Pro 2021 also comes with FullView Display (3K high-definition) but now has the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU within. Combined with 16GB of RAM and a good cooling system, the MateBook X Pro 2021 is designed to deliver performance in premium chassis.
And don’t forget the massive 1TB NVMe SSD drive.
It has an ultra-slim metal body with just 14.6mm thickness and 1.33kg of weight.
Charging can be done via the 65W USB-C so you can say goodbye to having a brick charger inside your backpack. You can even charge the machine using this Zendure travel adapter.
HUAWEI MateBook 14 is the mid-range entry to the family so if you don’t really need that much horsepower on the MateBook X Pro, the MateBook 14 should be more than sufficient for your needs.
It features the 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (NVMe SSD). And instead of a juicy 3K screen, the MateBook 14 features a 2K resolution (2560×1440) which is still a really good, sharp resolution to work with.
It weighs 1.49kg and has a 15.9mm thickness.
HUAWEI MateBook D 14 is definitely more budget friendly, while keeping the good things intact.
It’s equipped with a 14-inch 16:9 IPS panel with Full HD resolution (1920×1080) and powered by a 10th Generation Intel Core i5 processor.
It weighs 1.38kg and has a 15.9mm thickness.
The three laptops are available now for pre-order at CentreCom, Mobileciti, Huawei Experience Store and online. They will hit the shelves on 11 November 2021.
