Arlo launches complete Smart Home Security Camera range powered by Advanced AI Intelligence

Arlo Technologies has rolled out an entirely new lineup of smart home security cameras across Australia, bringing enhanced AI-powered capabilities through Arlo Intelligence to every model tier. The announcement covers refreshed versions of the Essential, Pro, and Ultra Series, alongside two brand-new pan tilt cameras that offer complete 360-degree monitoring for indoor and outdoor spaces.

The launch follows the company’s Arlo Secure 6 release earlier this year and builds directly on those AI advancements. The new camera range aims to deliver smarter alerts, better control, and more comprehensive protection through the Arlo Intelligence platform.

The backbone of these new cameras sits within the Arlo Secure subscription service, which uses AI to provide personalised and actionable alerts. Instead of generic motion notifications, users receive specific information about what’s happening around their property. The system allows customisation around key areas like front gates, driveways, or specific zones where pets spend time, with animated previews showing exactly what triggered the alert.

Response options are accessible directly from the phone’s lock screen, allowing quick action when something needs immediate attention. Arlo Secure subscription plans start from $6.67 per month for a single camera when billed annually.

For those wanting more advanced features, Arlo Secure Plus has been available since September 2024 and includes Person and Vehicle Recognition, Fire Detection, Advanced Audio Detection, and Event Captions. These features work together to provide more precise alerts and better context around property activity.

The two new pan tilt models address one of the common limitations of fixed security cameras. The Arlo Essential Pan Tilt Indoor Camera and Essential Pan Tilt Security Camera both feature 360-degree pan and 180-degree tilt functionality, with automatic motion tracking that follows movement within the camera’s field of view.

Setup involves setting custom viewing position shortcuts within the Arlo Secure app, making it easy to jump between predetermined angles with a single tap. Both models support dual-band Wi-Fi and automatically switch to the strongest available signal for better connectivity. Privacy controls let users disable audio and video recording on demand through the app.

The outdoor-rated Essential Pan Tilt Security Camera includes weather resistance and an integrated spotlight for better detail capture in low light conditions, helping identify clothing colours, vehicle plates, or facial features. Both pan tilt models come with cable and power adapter for continuous operation without battery charging concerns.

Night vision, two-way audio with noise cancelling, and an integrated siren that can be triggered manually or automatically round out the feature set. The Essential Pan Tilt Indoor Camera retails for $79 in Australia, while the outdoor Essential Pan Tilt Security Camera is priced at $119 in Australia.

Beyond the pan tilt cameras, Arlo has refreshed its core camera lineup with new generation models. The Essential Security Camera 2K (3rd Gen) provides 2K video quality at an accessible price point of $149 in Australia, targeting users who want solid performance without premium features.

The Pro Security Camera 2K (6th Gen) steps up with 2K HDR video, a wide 160-degree field of view, colour night vision, and a swappable rechargeable battery. The all-weather construction and dual-band Wi-Fi make it suitable for outdoor installation, with pricing set at $199 in Australia.

At the top end, the Ultra Security Camera 4K (3rd Gen) delivers 4K HDR video with an ultra-wide 180-degree field of view. The premium two-way audio includes wind and noise cancellation for clearer communication, and the swappable battery eliminates wiring requirements during installation. Single camera pricing sits at $279 in Australia with a two-camera kit available for $599 in Australia.

All new Arlo cameras will be available from October 13th on Arlo.com, with the complete product range and subscription details accessible at www.arlo.com.
