OPPO is definitely on fire this year, releasing phones after phones non stop. I am still reviewing their OPPO Find X2 Neo, which was released back in June, but we’ve just got words that the Reno4 series were just launched.
OPPO Reno4 Series are OPPO’s latest 5G smartphones, are for pre-sale now, to be available on October 12. The new phones are the Reno4 (retails for AU$799) and the Reno4 Z (retails for AU$599).
The Reno series were pretty good (check out our Reno2 Z review) and well known for its technological innovations and unique design. The Reno4 5G and Reno4 Z 5G will incorporate flagship phone features like innovative camera modes, fast charge, and high-end displays at mid-range price points.
The Reno4 5G introduces Ultra Night Video, a 48MP tri-cam setup, 32MP + 2MP holepunch front camera, 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charge, and 6.4″ AMOLED FHD+ display, all contained within a 7.8mm ultra slim body. It comes with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 4,000mAh battery, and run ColorOS 7.2 on Android Q.
The Reno4 Z 5G comes with a 120Hz LCD display, 48MP Ultra Wide Angle quadcamera, 16MP + 2MP holepunch front camera, and 18W fast charge. Similar to Reno4, the Reno4 Z features the same specs: 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage, 4,000mAh battery, and run ColorOS 7.2 on Android Q.
The Reno4 will come with OPPO’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 for super fast charging.
The focus of the new series will be low light mobile photography and videography. For example, they will feature Ultra Night Video and Ultra Steady Video 3.0, allowing users to shoot high quality, smooth video in low light conditions.
You can pre-order both the Reno4 5G and Reno4 Z 5G at JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee, Woolworths or MobileCiti. Plus, you’ll get the OPPO Enco W31 True Wireless Earphones (RRP $199) free for Reno4 5G order, and OPPO Enco W11 True Wireless Earphones (RRP $149) free for Reno4 Z 5G order.
There is no mention about OPPO Reno4 Pro to be released in Australia, though.
