Logitech’s latest Flip Folio keyboard case promises to transform how iPad users work and play, introducing a magnetically-storable Bluetooth keyboard that addresses the flexibility limitations of traditional keyboard cases. This new accessory targets the growing market of iPad users who demand both protection and productivity without compromising on portability.
And in my past experience, Logitech always had the best folio experience on the iPad (check my review on the SLIM FOLIO back in 2018). And their latest looks to be even better.
The standout feature lies in the keyboard’s magnetic attachment system, which allows the full-size Bluetooth keyboard to snap securely to the back of the case when not needed. This design choice tackles a common frustration with existing keyboard cases where the keyboard remains permanently attached, often creating awkward viewing angles for media consumption or casual browsing.
The case provides comprehensive protection for both front and back surfaces of the iPad, making it suitable for users who frequently travel with their devices or prefer to carry them casually under their arm. The multi-angle kickstand offers various viewing positions whilst maintaining a compact footprint, addressing the balance between functionality and desk space that many remote workers and students prioritise.
Beyond single-device functionality, the Flip Folio supports multi-device pairing with up to three Bluetooth-enabled devices. This feature proves particularly valuable for users managing multiple devices in their workflow, allowing quick switching between iPad, smartphone, and other connected devices without the need for constant re-pairing.
Logitech has incorporated sustainability considerations into the Flip Folio’s design and manufacturing process. The Graphite and Midnight Black models contain a minimum of 37% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, contributing to the circular economy by repurposing end-of-use materials. The aluminium components utilise low-carbon production processes, whilst all paper packaging sources from FSC-certified and controlled origins.
The keyboard maintains full-size key spacing despite its detachable design, ensuring typing comfort isn’t compromised for portability. Both landscape and portrait orientations are supported, accommodating different usage scenarios from document editing to social media browsing.
Compatibility extends across current iPad Pro models including the 11-inch M4 and 13-inch M4 variants, as well as iPad Air models covering the 11-inch M2 and M3, 13-inch M2 and M3, and 5th generation versions. This broad compatibility ensures the accessory remains relevant across Logitech’s target market.
The Flip Folio arrives in multiple colour options to suit different aesthetic preferences, though specific colour names weren’t detailed in the announcement. Pricing reflects the size differentiation, with 13-inch iPad Pro and iPad Air models priced at A$189.99, whilst 11-inch variants retail for A$169.99.
