Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Brings Edward Kenway’s Pirate Adventure Back on 9 July 2026

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will launch worldwide on 9 July 2026, marking the return of one of the franchise’s most beloved entries. The game arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, as well as being available through Ubisoft+.

This does not seem to be a simple remaster. Led by Ubisoft Singapore, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced represents a complete remake of the 2013 original, rebuilt from scratch using the latest Anvil engine. The development team has overhauled the visuals and expanded the gameplay with parry-driven combat, improved stealth and parkour systems, deeper naval mechanics, and fresh narrative content that builds on the original story.

If you check this official video out, you can see how awesome everything looks. I haven’t played the Black Flag before so this looks like a great time to try it out.

During the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Showcase, Ubisoft revealed that GRAMMY-nominated artist Woodkid is making a return to the franchise. Woodkid will be working on a reimagined track, with more details coming later this year.

The standard edition carries a price tag of AUD $99.95 across all platforms. For those wondering whether their PC can handle it, system requirements are already available and worth checking out before launch day.

Pre-ordering any edition of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced nets you Blackbeard’s Crimson Pack, which bundles an exclusive Edward Kenway costume, a pair of swords, and a set of pistols. Ubisoft has also detailed three distinct editions for players to choose from.

The Standard Edition includes the base game. The Deluxe Edition is digital-only and adds the Master Assassin Character Pack and Master Assassin Naval Pack on top of the base game. For collectors, there’s a Collector’s Edition that includes everything from the Deluxe Edition plus physical items such as Edward’s Figurine, a wearable metal brooch, an exclusive SteelBook, a cloth map, and additional collectables.
