Tineco has developed various floorcare solutions, including carpet cleaners (check my CARPET ONE PRO Shampooer review), floor cleaners (like the S7 PRO, S6 PRO EXTREME, or S6 FlashDry) and recently, steam floor cleaners (S7 STEAM, which is my favourite). While most of these machines can dry vacuum your carpet or floor, they sometimes require switching modes through the app and don’t match the suction power of a dedicated vacuum cleaner.
If your house is predominantly carpet, you should consider the Tineco A30S Stick Vacuum Cleaner. At just A$319, you get an affordable vacuum cleaner with impressive performance from a well-known brand.
Tineco Pure One A30S 500W Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review – Design and Features
The Tineco A30S features thoughtful design choices that prioritise comfort during use. The ergonomic dual-handle design (you can hold the machine differently when vacuuming) makes the machine easy to manoeuvre while vacuuming around the house. For cleaning carpets and floors, you can easily operate it with one hand. Unlike Dyson vacuum cleaners that require holding down a trigger continuously, the A30S offers a more convenient operation.
You simply press the power button once to start vacuuming and glide through dust and debris effortlessly. While it’s technically possible to clean ceiling corners, furniture, or beds with one hand, I find using both hands more comfortable and better balanced. It’s not exactly a light machine (no vacuum cleaner ever is). But even my 4 year-old son enjoys cleaning the house, like his high chair, with the machine so it’s a plus.
The suction power control button sits next to the power button, offering Eco, Auto, and Max modes. I typically leave mine in Auto mode, as the machine intelligently increases power when it detects more particles while vacuuming. You can hear the motor adjusting up and down, striking an excellent balance between battery life and cleaning performance.
Tineco claims up to 60 minutes of battery life, but this applies when using the 2-in-1 crevice brush (which requires no additional power). With the ZeroTangle brush for carpets and floors, expect shorter runtime depending on your chosen suction mode throughout your cleaning session.
The ZeroTangle brush proved highly effective during testing. When we had a maternity photoshoot at home, a makeup artist applied hair extensions to my wife, leaving considerable hair debris on the floor – perfect for a real-world test. The A30S handled the hair remarkably well, clearing the mess within seconds into its 1-litre dust bin.
The vacuum uses Tineco’s PureCyclone technology to maintain consistent suction regardless of battery level, effectively separating air and dust to keep the filter cleaner longer. It captures up to 99.97% of dust and debris as small as 0.3 microns, while the 5-stage filtration system ensures cleaner air in your home.
The generously sized dust bin outperforms many competing models, allowing you to clean your entire house without frequent emptying. The bin detaches easily and opens smoothly for mess-free emptying. Its transparent design lets you monitor cleaning progress and clearly shows when it needs emptying.
The rinsable filters ensure consistently clean operation, and the detachable battery makes charging convenient without moving the entire unit. This thoughtful design should also simplify battery replacement when needed in the far future. The included wall-mount dock provides an organised storage and charging solution, though it’s completely optional.
The LED headlight effectively illuminates floors, making it easier to spot dirt and dust, particularly useful when cleaning under furniture. I appreciate how it automatically activates in dimly lit rooms, improving visibility during cleaning.
Tineco A30S Review Conclusion
The Tineco A30S proves itself to be a capable and practical vacuum cleaner that brings great value for money. At A$319, you’re getting features typically found in more expensive models like LED headlights, a sizeable dust bin, and smart suction control. While the battery life might not reach the advertised 60 minutes when using the main brush head, it’s sufficient for most cleaning sessions around the house.
What really stands out is how thoughtfully designed this vacuum cleaner is. The ergonomic dual-handle design, easy-to-empty dust bin, and detachable battery all contribute to a hassle-free cleaning experience. The ZeroTangle brush performs admirably with hair – a common challenge for many vacuum cleaners – and the Auto mode intelligently adjusts suction power as needed.
The combination of PureCyclone technology and 5-stage filtration ensures effective cleaning while maintaining good air quality in your home. For those who want a reliable vacuum cleaner without breaking the bank, the Tineco A30S is definitely worth considering. It’s available now at Amazon Australia for A$319.
