Tineco has just announced the FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro in Australia with 110 minutes of battery life, nearly double what most cordless wet and dry floor cleaners manage. If you’ve ever had to stop mid-clean to plug your machine back in, you’ll know why that matters.
The S9 Artist Steam Pro is the latest in Tineco’s flagship Artist Series, and it builds on the formula with a handful of useful upgrades. For example, the new Reverse Scrub Mode flips the brush rotation direction for 14 seconds to concentrate scrubbing power on a single stubborn spot like dried sauce, muddy paw prints, or that mysterious sticky patch that never quite comes up. Things that require a few passes for stubborn patches might be over quickly with the new feature.
Chemical-free cleaning gets a boost here too, with the boiler upgraded to deliver 230°C HyperSteam which is up from previous models and paired with electrolysed water for disinfection. I stumbled upon electrolysed water when I reviewed the Narwal Freo Z Ultra robot vacuum.
Noise has also been addressed with the addition of a Quiet Mode, which Tineco says runs at around 69dB so, roughly the volume of a casual conversation. The self-cleaning FlashDry cycle now has a Silent Mode running at 40dB, which is quite a drop from earlier models. For anyone who cleans early in the morning or lives with light sleepers, that’s a practical improvement that tends to get overlooked in spec sheets.
The rest of the feature set carries over from the Artist Series: the 180° lay-flat design for reaching under furniture, iLoop Smart Sensor that adjusts suction and water flow based on detected dirt levels, MHCBS brush self-rinsing technology to avoid mopping with dirty water, and SmoothDrive omni-directional wheels. The machine also includes LED headlights, triple-sided edge cleaning, and a DualBlock anti-tangle brush for hair and pet fur.
If you’ve seen our previous Tineco coverage, you’ll know the Artist Series has set a high bar in the wet and dry floor cleaner space. Here’s our S9 Artist review if you haven’t read it yet. The S9 Artist Steam Pro looks like a focused evolution rather than a complete overhaul, but the run time improvement alone could be the reason to upgrade for many users.
At $1,499 AUD, this is clearly aimed at households who want a serious, long-term investment in their floor cleaning setup rather than a budget pick. To sweeten the launch, Tineco is offering a free accessories pack (two brush rollers and two filters, valued at A$89.99) for purchases made between 13 August and 13 September 2026, redeemable via the Tineco Australia website while stocks last.
The FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro is available now from the Tineco Online Store, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee, and Retravision. It comes with a two-year warranty.
