Dreame’s T16 Pro TriForce Uses Steam, Hot Water and Foam All at Once

Dreame Technology has announced a new wet and dry vacuum for the Australian market, and the T16 Pro TriForce is an interesting machine than most competitors at this price point. Rather than relying on a single cleaning method, it combines three water-driven technologies in one pass: 200°C steam sterilisation, 90°C hot water mopping, and a deodorising foam system. I’ve personally never encountered other machines that have the last part – check my review on the Roborock F25 Ultra here.

The steam side of things is handled by what Dreame calls SaunaClean, which pushes high-flow steam at 200°C into grout lines and uneven floor surfaces to physically reduce bacteria and dust mites. For households with young kids or pets, that level of heat penetration is really good compared to a damp mop. Alongside that, ThermoRinse continuously feeds 90°C hot water onto the floor to loosen dried-on spills, grease and everyday grime, which should cut down on the frustrating need to go over the same patch multiple times.

The third technology, FoamWash, is for pet owners. It dispenses a mousse-like foam with a floral-fruit scent designed to neutralise odours at the source, including pet urine smells.

On the hardware side, the T16 Pro TriForce pulls 30kPa of suction, which sits at the stronger end for this category, handling both liquid spills and dry debris like pet hair and dust. The machine itself is 9.85cm wide and lies completely flat at 180 degrees, so getting under beds and low sofas isn’t an issue.

Self-cleaning is handled through a Dual-Heat Self-Cleaning System that combines 200°C steam and a 95°C hot water brush wash after each use. A wet vacuum brush that isn’t properly cleaned between uses quickly becomes a hygiene problem of its own, so this is really good.

The Dreame T16 Pro TriForce Wet & Dry Vacuum is available now through the Dreame website and JB Hi-Fi, priced at AUD $1,499. It will also be available at The Good Guys and Harvey Norman from mid-September.
