Kenwood’s $199 My Pizzeria Oven Cooks Pizza in Three Minutes. No Delivery App Required

A compact kitchen oven that hits 400°C and bakes pizza in three minutes is Kenwood’s answer to Australia’s growing disillusionment with takeaway. The My Pizzeria Indoor Pizza Oven lands at RRP $199, and it’s making a pretty good argument for ditching the delivery fee (or pricey pizzas at the restaurant).

New research commissioned by Kenwood found that nearly one in three Australian households (32%) are ordering takeaway or delivery less frequently than they were a year ago, while 11% have stopped entirely. Of those who’d ordered pizza recently, 30% spent $50 or more. Australia is still very much a pizza-loving nation (we rank fourth globally for consumption, behind Norway, the US, and Canada), but the appetite for delivery is clearly fading.

My Pizzeria preheats in around 10 minutes and then cooks a pizza in three. That means you could be pulling a hot, properly crispy pizza out of the oven before a delivery platform has even confirmed your order, let alone found a driver. For those who’ve always wanted to do pizza night properly at home but felt time-poor, this is great. Kenwood’s own research found almost one in four Australians (24%) cite time as the main reason they don’t bother making pizza themselves.

The oven uses dual-sided heating elements and a 30cm removable ceramic stone to replicate what makes a proper pizzeria pizza work: fierce, even heat from above and below, and a base that crisps rather than steams. It reaches nearly twice the temperature of a standard household oven. The ceramic stone also seasons and darkens naturally over time, which means the results should only improve the more you use it. A built-in ClearView window lets you keep an eye on things without cracking it open and bleeding heat.

I quite like that Kenwood kept the controls simple here with just two dials, making it approachable for anyone regardless of cooking confidence. It’s not trying to be a professional piece of kit, just a reliable one.

At 18.5cm tall and 4.7kg, it’s light enough to carry and compact enough to stow in a cupboard between uses. That’s particularly relevant for apartment dwellers and renters who don’t have outdoor space for a gas or wood-fired setup. Pizza night can also become a bit of an occasion with this: 70% of Australians surveyed said they’d rather make individual or multiple different pizzas than share one, and 32% admitted they argue about toppings at least some of the time. Letting everyone build their own solves both problems at once.

Beyond pizza, My Pizzeria handles flatbreads, quesadillas, and s’mores, and works with homemade, chilled, or frozen bases. It’s part of Kenwood’s Go Collection, a line of compact appliances designed to fit in a standard drawer.

The Kenwood My Pizzeria Indoor Pizza Oven is available now from major Australian retailers at RRP $199, including Harvey Norman.
