Nothing is more annoying than having to grab that charging cable on the floor next to your bed and plug it into your shiny, new iPhone (not to mention when you can’t see where the Lightning port is in complete darkness). And while having a universal Qi wireless charging pad is good enough, you sometimes still have to hunt that perfect, centre spot to start the charging process correctly.
But thanks to Apple’s new MagSafe technology, you can always get that snappy, magnetic lock that works all the time to charge your iPhone.
mophie snap+ wireless charger is compatible with all the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series, but the packaging also includes a snap adapter. This adapter can be attached on the back of any phones that don’t have MagSafe support, including Android phones.
You can either attach the snap adapter on the back of your phone that supports Qi wireless charging, or on the back of the phone case (assuming it’s thin, low-profile cases that normally support wireless charging).
The charger can deliver up to 15W of fast charging for Android devices and 7.5W for iOS devices. However, note that the power adapter is not included in the packaging – which is a bit of a shame. While you are expected to already have a USB-C power adapter to charge your new phone, an included extra would be nice here (but you’ll have to pay more).
The charger is compact and slim compared to the regular Qi wireless charging pads (like the Belkin BOOSTUP or 3SIXT charging pad) so you can easily fit it in your bag or backpack for travelling – but obviously you still have to carry a bulkier power adapter to use it with. Unless of course, if you have something like my Zendure Passport II Pro, you can just bring that to charge all your devices, including a laptop like the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro.
