Logitech G512 X Gaming Keyboard Arrives with TMR Analog Technology and Modular Switch Design

Logitech G has introduced the G512 X TMR Analog/Mechanical Gaming Keyboard in Australia, bringing a fresh approach to how gamers interact with their hardware. This new keyboard breaks away from the traditional fixed setup by offering modular components that can be swapped, adjusted, and fine-tuned to match individual playstyles rather than forcing players to work around their equipment’s limitations.

If you like customising your gears, looks like this is the keyboard to go for.

Drawing inspiration from the custom keyboard community and the growing demand for analog input precision, the G512 X targets players who want hardware that reflects their specific needs. The keyboard merges competitive-grade engineering with extensive DIY customisation options, creating a platform that should appeal strongly to the PC modding community.

At the heart of the G512 X sits new TMR (Tunnel Magneto Resistance) sensor technology. Unlike traditional keyboards that register keypresses as simple on-off signals, TMR sensors allow the keyboard to detect how far down a key has been pressed. This depth-based input proves particularly valuable in flight simulators, racing games, and tactical shooters where subtle control differences can determine outcomes.

The G512 X comes in both 75 and 98 layouts. The Dual Swap Capability stands as the headline feature, allowing players to use both analog and mechanical switches across any of its 39 hybrid TMR switch beds. Most popular analog and 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches work with the system, and the keyboard ships with 9 Gateron KS-20 analog switches straight out of the box for immediate competitive advantage.

Performance receives serious attention through what Logitech G calls True 8K Performance, delivering 0.125ms end-to-end response time. This includes an 8K polling rate, 8K reporting rate, and 8K processing, all working together to provide the kind of precision competitive players demand.

The Multipoint Action feature and SAPP (Second Actuation Pressure Point) rings add another layer of customisation. Through the G HUB software, players can assign two separate actions to a single keypress at different depths, then install a SAPP ring to create a tactile bump that marks where the second action triggers.

Two fully assignable and customisable Dual Dials transform the keyboard into a personalised command centre, while the Bold RGB Lightbar adds visual flair with its PVD-coated finish, rhythmic slash patterns, and vibrant light sequences that sync with gameplay intensity.

For extended gaming sessions, Logitech G offers a premium acrylic Palm Rest as a separate accessory for either layout and it looks pretty awesome visually. The Palm Rest amplifies the lightbar illumination while adding comfort during those long competitive nights or content creation marathons.

The back of the G512 X features built-in storage space with easy access for its keycap pullers, the 9 premium Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches, and 5 SAPP rings, keeping everything organised and within reach when you need to make adjustments.
