Razer’s new true wireless earbuds now featuring Razer Chroma RGB lighting and ANC

Razer has just announced the second generation of its Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds (2021), after the success of the original (make sure to check my Razer Hammerhead TWS (1st Generation) review) that offers low latency for wireless gaming.

The second generation now also offers Active Noise Cancelling and if you want to look cool while gaming, the Razer Chroma RGB lighting support. And yes, it still also comes with 60ms low latency Gaming Mode.

Now powered by Razer Chroma RGB, you can select up to 16.8 million colours and effects to stand out from the crowd and lit up that Razer’s logo on the earbuds.

With the new Active Noise Cancelling, you can now get more immersed when playing games which is usually hard to do without wearing a proper headset with those big ear cups like the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro. The in-ear fit design itself already offers passive noise isolation, but wouldn’t do justice if you are flying on a plane or in a noisy environment like a cafe.

The Gaming Mode, when activated, will kick that 60ms low latency feature and give you a lag free gaming via Bluetooth (I did test this while playing Overwatch when reviewing the original Razer Hammerhead and can notice the difference).

Razer Hammerhead TWS 2nd Generation (2021) also runs on Bluetooth 5.2, an upgrade from the original Bluetooth’s 5.0. This results an even better battery life – double than the original (without lighting and ANC). But even with lighting and ANC on, it still offers about 4 hours more than the original.

The new Razer Hammerhead TWS 2nd Generation (2021) is available now for purchase at retailers around Australia for AU$199.95 RRP.
