Microsoft Office 365 free for eligible non profit organisations

free Microsoft Office 365 for nonprofit

In a move to further help organisations to do good to the world, Microsoft has decided to donate away their latest Office 365 software suit subscriptions to eligible non-profit organisations (called Office 365 for Nonprofits).

Depending on the eligibility, non-profit organisations can get Office 365 for free or at a highly discounted rate. Or none at all.

If the non-profit organisation is recognised as a charitable non-profit organisation, then it is eligible. Other non-profit organisations like churches, nonprofit schools, and a few others are not eligible unfortunately. You can find out at this Microsoft page to check whether your non-profit organisation is eligible for this generous offer or not.

The service is not officially available in Australia just yet, but you can sign up for a trial (if your organisation is eligible) on a month-to-month basis until the service is officially launch in Australia some time in the future.

This is a great step by Microsoft to help charitable organisations out in the world. With Office 365, all administrations can be done easily and effectively which should let charitable organisations to just focus on making the world a better place. Well done, Microsoft!
