Father’s Day 2025 is fast approaching on 7th September, and if you’re still scratching your head wondering what to get Dad this year, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve put together a comprehensive tech gift guide that covers everything from budget-friendly gadgets to premium gear that’ll make his day extra special.
Whether your dad is a tech enthusiast, a coffee lover, a gamer, or someone who just appreciates clever gadgets that make life easier, we’ve got something that’ll put a smile on his face. These aren’t just random tech products either – each item on this list has been thoroughly tested and reviewed, so you can buy with confidence knowing they actually deliver on their promises.
Twelve South AirFly Pro 2

If your dad travels frequently or still hits the gym regularly, the AirFly Pro 2 is a game-changer he probably didn’t know he needed. This tiny wireless audio adapter lets him use his favourite Bluetooth headphones with any device that only has a headphone jack – think airplane entertainment systems, gym equipment, or even that old car stereo.
Thanks to the dual-pairing feature, he can connect two sets of headphones simultaneously, which means no more sharing those awful airline headphones with mum during long flights. The 25-hour battery life means he’ll never worry about it dying mid-flight, and the aptX support ensures the audio quality stays crisp whether he’s watching movies or listening to music.
The AirFly Pro 2 also works in reverse mode, turning any old speaker system into a Bluetooth receiver. So if dad has a nice set of bookshelf speakers in his study but wants to stream music from his phone, this little device sorts that out too.
At A$89.95, it’s one of those gifts that keeps solving problems long after Father’s Day is over.
SanDisk Extreme PRO USB4 2TB

If your dad works with large files, backs up important data regularly, or just appreciates having blazing-fast storage, the SanDisk Extreme PRO USB4 is a premium gift that’ll genuinely impress him. With read speeds up to 3,800 MB/s and write speeds reaching 3,700 MB/s, this drive is roughly 7-8 times faster than typical USB drives he might be using now.
The rugged design makes it survive daily life with IP65 water resistance and 2-metre drop protection. Whether he’s transferring work files, backing up family photos, or working on projects in the garage, this drive can handle it all. The larger size actually works in its favour, providing better heat dissipation during those lengthy file transfers.
The backwards compatibility means it’ll work with his current setup while future-proofing for when he eventually upgrades. Dad can edit 4K videos directly from the drive or transfer hundreds of gigabytes in minutes rather than hours – a real time-saver for anyone who values efficiency.
At A$899 for the 2TB model, it’s definitely a premium gift, but for dads who regularly deal with large files or value having reliable, fast storage, it’s an investment that keeps paying dividends long after Father’s Day. There’s also the 1TB model which is slightly more affordable if he doesn’t need that extra space.
Logitech G522 Wireless Gaming Headset

Whether your dad is a serious gamer or just enjoys the occasional gaming session, the Logitech G522 delivers premium audio without the premium price tag of flagship models. The 40mm PRO-G drivers provide excellent spatial accuracy – perfect for pinpointing enemy footsteps in competitive games or simply enjoying rich, detailed sound in movies and music.
Thanks to the tri-mode connectivity, he can seamlessly switch between wireless gaming, Bluetooth for phone calls, or USB-C wired connection. The 40-hour battery life with RGB lighting means he won’t be reaching for the charger constantly, and the dual-layer memory foam ensures comfort during those marathon weekend gaming sessions.
The removable microphone with broadcast-quality clarity means video calls will sound professional, while the customisable RGB lighting adds that gaming aesthetic many dads secretly love but won’t admit to. At A$299.95, it’s excellent value for a wireless gaming headset that doesn’t compromise on performance.
Razer Viper V3 Pro Gaming Mouse

For gaming dads who take their competitive play seriously, the Razer Viper V3 Pro represents the pinnacle of lightweight wireless gaming mice. At just 54-55 grams, it’s remarkably light yet maintains excellent build quality and comfort through thoughtful design refinements based on professional player feedback.
The Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 delivers exceptional precision with 99.8% resolution accuracy, while the 8,000Hz polling rate ensures ultra-responsive performance for competitive gaming. The smooth finish surprisingly doesn’t feel slippery, and the ergonomic improvements like pronounced finger grooves and a raised hump provide comfortable grip during extended sessions.
Battery life reaches up to 95 hours depending on usage, and the HyperSpeed Wireless technology delivers zero-latency performance that rivals wired mice. Through Razer Synapse, you can set the high polling rate to activate only during gaming sessions to preserve battery life.
While Razer removed RGB lighting and extra buttons to achieve the lightweight design, the core gaming experience remains uncompromised. For dads who prioritise performance over flashy features, this mouse excels at everything without gimmicks. This is still my primary gaming mouse that I’ve been using since mid 2024. It’s that good.
At A$279, it’s positioned as a premium gaming mouse, but the combination of lightweight design, cutting-edge sensor technology, and professional-grade performance makes it worthwhile for serious gamers.
CORSAIR K70 PRO TKL Gaming Keyboard
CORSAIR K70 PRO TKL delivers cutting-edge technology that can genuinely provide gameplay advantages. One of the best features is the 8,000Hz polling rate – the highest available in gaming keyboards – which registers keypresses in just one-eighth of a millisecond for ultra-responsive performance.
Then, there is also that per-key customisation capability. The MGX Hyperdrive magnetic switches allow you to adjust each key’s actuation point from 0.1mm to 4mm individually. This means setting WASD keys for hair-trigger responsiveness while configuring ultimate abilities to require deliberate presses, preventing costly accidental activations during intense moments.
The pre-lubricated switches provide satisfying tactile feedback that works well for both gaming and typing, while FlashTap and RapidTrigger technologies enable more responsive counter-strafing in FPS games. The premium Control Dial adds another layer of customisation, and the TKL format saves valuable desk space.
At A$299, it’s positioned competitively for a pro-level gaming keyboard at quite an affordable price.
Next-Gen PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSDs

If your dad works or wants the absolute fastest storage available, Gen 5 NVMe SSDs represent a genuine leap forward in performance. These drives deliver read speeds between 14,000-15,000 MB/s – nearly twice as fast as even high-end Gen 4 drives.
The WD_BLACK SN8100 (A$499 for 2TB) excels in professional workloads like 4K video editing, offering excellent power efficiency at around 7W during operation. Even without a heatsink, temperatures remain stable during typical use, and the 1,200 TBW endurance rating means years of intensive use without concern.
For those wanting flagship performance without thermal concerns, the Kingston Fury Renegade G5 (A$569 for 2TB) breaks new ground by delivering 14,800 MB/s speeds while maintaining surprisingly cool operation without any heatsink. The 6nm controller runs significantly cooler than previous generations, making it perfect for compact builds or laptops.
The Samsung 9100 PRO with Heatsink (A$439 for 2TB) offers the best value in this category, delivering 14,700 MB/s speeds while running the coolest of the three. During gaming sessions, it never exceeded 52°C, and the heatsink version provides excellent thermal headroom for sustained workloads. PlayStation 5 compatibility adds versatility, and it’s actually cheaper than the competition while delivering Samsung’s proven reliability.
While gaming improvements over Gen 4 drives are more incremental, content creators will notice substantial benefits in video editing, file transfers, and professional workflows. These drives represent serious future-proofing for anyone building a high-end system and honestly, you can’t go wrong getting any of these three awesome, high-end NVMe SSDs.

Nespresso Vertuo Creatista

For coffee-loving dads who want café-quality milk coffees at home, the Vertuo Creatista delivers the closest experience to having a personal barista. The standout feature is the professional-grade automatic steam wand that creates perfectly textured milk with customisable temperature and froth levels – something most capsule machines can’t match.
Unlike traditional milk frothers that require separate cleaning, this machine’s steam wand auto-rinses after each use, making maintenance surprisingly simple. Dad can choose between three milk temperature settings and three texture options, allowing him to dial in his perfect latte, cappuccino, or flat white. The machine even enables latte art attempts for those feeling creative.
The stainless steel construction looks premium on any kitchen bench, whilst the automated operation means no barista skills required – just insert a pod, select preferences, and wait less than a minute. It reads each pod’s barcode to adjust extraction settings automatically, ensuring consistent results every time.

For health-conscious dads who appreciate tech-driven solutions, the Oclean X Ultra S transforms daily dental care into a data-driven experience. The interactive touchscreen displays a 3D model of your teeth, highlighting missed areas in yellow and problem spots in red. The AI Voice Guide provides subtle prompts to switch quadrants, though this can be disabled via the Oclean Care+ app if preferred.
The compact USB-C charging case is notably smaller than traditional charging docks, making it practical for travel or smaller bathrooms. The app integration gamifies dental care with brushing scores and detailed performance tracking, helping establish better long-term habits.
