Creative Outlier Air V2 Review

Creative Outlier Air V2 Review – The Creative Outlier Air V2 is not the first Creative earbuds I’ve owned. The original gold version was my first Creative earbuds (check my review out).

Fast forward one year, Creative Outlier Air V2 is the successor. It’s got a few upgrades under its sleeves so let’s find out if it’s any good.

What do you get in the box?

  • 1 x Creative Outlier Air V2
  • 1 x USB-C Charging Case
  • 1 x USB-C Charging Cable
  • (S), (M) and (L) Silicone Ear Tips
  • 1 x Quick Start Guide

First impressions

The case (with USB-C) is certainly more compact than the gold one. I’d say it’s 30% smaller which is a good thing, givent that you can easily fit this in your pocket now.

The earbuds look identical to its predecessor but pretty much remains the same.

It comes with three sizes for ear tips, should you need one.

These earbuds now come with upgraded touch controls, a built-in mic with Qualcomm cVc 8.0 for better call quality.

Is it easy to pair?

Yes, it is super easy to pair. If you are pairing for the first time, you’ll need to charge the case first. You simply remove the left earbud and followed by the right one.

Then, you tap the left one to start the pairing. Afterwards, the right earbud will ask your device to pair too. Voila, both earbuds are now connected. Pairing cannot be easier than this.

Is it comfortable in your ears?

Yes, they are amazingly comfortable in your ears.

I can certainly listen to podcasts during my 45-min afternoon walk without feeling any discomfort at all.

Is it easy to control?

Yes, it’s quite easy to control.

However, it might take some time to get used to it. For instance, you press the touch control 2 times to play/pause, answer/hang-up phone calls. Pressing it 3 times will activate Siri/Google Assistant. To activate the Bluetooth pairing, press and hold for 6 seconds. Volume down: Press and hold the left earbud; and the right one for volume up.

How’s the battery?

It’s got 13% more juice than its predecessor. So you get 34 hours of battery life in total (with the case).

How is the sound quality?

It’s crisp and clear. It’s great for both podcast and music listening.  It sounds good too when making a phone call.
