Boost Mobile has been running on Telstra 3G network for some time, which may not be fast enough for some. However, for just $40 a month, you can make unlimited calls+texts to any Australian numbers and comes with a hefty 3GB data (plus a bonus 1GB data on Sunday).
Customers who have been itching for faster speed will be glad to know that from 29 September 2015, Telstra 4G network will be made available to Boost Mobile’s new and current customers.
According to Boost Mobile, they are still offering the same options & pricing, so there is no price increase at all if you want to hop on to the Telstra 4G network on Boost Mobile!
To celebrate the launch of 4G, Boost Mobile will also be adding extra bonus data to their customers. Anyone on the $40 UNLTD®/month option will get an extra 1GB of bonus Sunday data from 29 September – 26 October 2015.

Boost Mobile vs Telstra Freedom Plus Pre-Paid
Now that Boost Mobile has gone 4G, you’re probably wondering whom should you go for the new Telstra Freedom Plus or Boost Mobile?
I’d say it depends on your usage – for example, if you make a lot of calls to non-Telstra mobile customers and tend to use a lot of data on Sundays, Boost Mobile unlimited calls offer is definitely the way to go.
Telstra Freedom Plus Pre-Paid, however, allows you to roll-over your data and call credits to the next month and if you are an Android phone user, purchase items on Google Play Store with your recharge credits.
