August 2012 Traffic Sources Breakdown
Facebook fan page: 3,935 fans.
Twitter followers: 3,056 followers.
Traffic seems to get back slowly to how it was before the Google Panda and Penguin update (about 4,000 visitors a day on weekdays since last week). It’s definitely a good sign though it may be to early to celebrate. Facebook gives a constant referral traffic though not as much as the search engines.
August has also been a good month to me as there were plenty of cool opportunities such as reviewing the Samsung Galaxy SIII (from Vodafone Australia), being invited and fully sponsored by Microsoft Australia to attend TechEd 2012 on the Gold Coast, and more cool products to review (from Logitech and Dyson).
Things also get busier in life as we are preparing the final production for the movie project that I’m involved in (I’m one of the Producers), The Unbroken. If you live in Melbourne, feel free to come over on the screening day to watch the movie and say hi to me afterwards. Here is the movie teaser I made last week for the movie, made with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6:
What social media are you using at the moment to gain traffic and exposure to your blog? I didn’t find Twitter to be my best source of traffic. It’s more like a hub for me to connect with other bloggers, journalists, PR people, and the brands.
