Philips is so confident their SensoTouch 3D is their best shaver (and they are not wrong!) that they to let you try it for free in this event. Philips to share the ultimate shaving experience with Sydney in a world exclusive
Sydney to host the global launch of the new Philips SensoTouch3D and share the ultimate shaving experience with Australia’s sporting elite
Sydney, Australia, 4 August 2010 – Philips will give Sydneysiders the chance to share the ultimate shaving experience with Australia’s favourite Sports Dads. A public event will be held at Wynyard Park in the Sydney CBD at 8:00 am on 18 August, to reveal the most advanced shave ever with the public and the media in a world exclusive.
Hosted by Adam Hawse of Channel 10, 2009 Sports Dad of the Year and Wests Tigers favourite son John Skandalis will be joined by dual international Wendell Sailor and Parramatta Eels legend Nathan Hindmarsh, and will be signing autographs, posing for photographs and road testing the new Philips SensoTouch3D shaver in a shaving competition. The event will also mark the official announcement and launch of the 2010 Philips Sports Dad of the Year finalists. Guests and the public will have the chance to meet some of their favourite sportsman out of a selection of finalists across a range of favourite popular sports.
“We encourage every man to come down to Wynyard Park on 18 August with a few days’ growth. They will see for themselves just how close Philips has come in 70 years of shaving innovation. We believe this is our most advanced shave yet – now we are giving Australians the chance to experience this for themselves. You can even be in the running to win one of the first SensoTouch3D shavers in the world,” said Peter Bosscher, Senior Manager Business Development, Personal Care, Philips Australia and New Zealand.
Building on the success and popularity of the 2009 awards, the 2010 Philips Sports Dad of the Year is destined to be even bigger, showcasing the contributions that Australia’s sporting heroes make to their families, both on and off the field. The Philips Sports Dad of the Year competition is an insightful look into how Australia’s sporting elite juggle fatherhood and sporting greatness, which John Skandalis demonstrated last year as the 2009 winner. John was the most popular choice with voters last year and will be along at the event with Wendell Sailor and Nathan Hindmarsh to celebrate with the crowd and pass on the flame.
Every person that votes for their favourite Sports Dad at www.sportsdads.com.au will enter the competition to win an ultimate fathers day grooming pack valued at over $5,000 and the winning Philips Sports Dad will win $5,000 from Philips to donate to their charity of choice. Voting commences on Sunday 22nd August, ahead of both the NRL and AFL Finals series and a massive summer of sport, ensuring that the Sports Dads will be in for a fierce competition this year.
