TEAMGROUP has announced that its T-CREATE EXPERT P34F Find My External SSD has been honoured with the Japan Good Design Award 2025. The drive stands out as the world’s first SSD with built-in location tracking that doesn’t need any additional accessories, addressing a real pain point for content creators who need reliable, portable storage solutions.
The Good Design Award has been around since 1957 and remains one of the most influential design awards globally, recognising products that excel in innovation, aesthetics, social value, and long-term sustainability.
The EXPERT P34F external SSD has a built-in integration with Apple’s Find My app, paired with a built-in speaker that emits sound alerts when you’re within range. This patented technology helps users locate their drive quickly and reduces the risk of losing important work, which any creator who’s ever misplaced a drive will appreciate.
Beyond the tracking functionality, TEAMGROUP has paid attention to the physical design as well. The drive body uses 73% zinc alloy construction whilst keeping the weight down to just 70 grams. There’s a keychain hole built in, making it easy to attach to bags or keychains for quick access. The drive connects via USB 3.2 Gen2x1 with a Type-C connector, ensuring compatibility across Windows, macOS, and Thunderbolt devices without needing adapters.
