In celebration of the “Gold Rush” update (a new map, gameplay, and unique item system); Team Fortress 2 is now free to play for this weekend only! (May 2 – May 4 2008)
Team Fortress 2 is available via Steam and if you have Steam installed, you can start pre-loading the game before the weekend starts!
Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer-first person shooter-team-game.
It’s been around for a while and a lot of people have been enjoying the game so far.
The game weighs around 6.5 GB uncompressed according to a poster at Neowin forum, so you may want to start downloading straight away if you want to make it for the weekend!
I won’t be playing although I really want to. My monthly bandwidth limit has only about 3 GB left and I’m going to be busy this weekend (practice at church, go for a show on Sat night, and play some badminton on Sunday)
I am thinking to buy the game though I’ve received a lot of good feedbacks about this game from friends.
Oh well, have fun and wish I can join you in the game :(
PS: and please don’t start flaming the comments section with how crappy and bloaty Steam is :D
