NVIDIA releases native driver update for Windows 7

NVIDIA LogoNew GeForce graphics drivers for Windows 7 is now available for download at nvidia.com. Although I’ve been using Windows Vista driver on my Windows 7 successfully, this is a welcome news. Not to mention that the new driver, GeForce version 181.71, supports the new WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) v1.1 for DirectX 10 capable graphic cards.

WDDM 1.1 is only available in Windows 7 and it enhances visual experience, according to NVIDIA:

Powered by NVIDIA DirectX 10 GPUs, WDDM v1.1 drivers provide an optimal visual experience in Windows 7. These drivers offer increased performance and reliability in both 2D and 3D applications, including the 3D Windows Aero desktop.
