An all new Google Nexus 7 tablet

Google Nexus 7 2013Apart from announcing a new and surprising product, the Chromecast, Google has also updated their popular Google Nexus 7 tablet with a much improved version in every angle.

The new Google Nexus 7 (the Google Nexus 7 2 or Google Nexus 7 2013 version) has received many glowing reviews and considered as the best Android tablet in the market at the moment.

It has a better and sexier design compared to its predecessor, weighs in just under 300 grams, and has 3mm thinner bezel on each side. These subtle changes will make it comfortable to hold the tablet for reading in Portrait mode (and also for other usage). Looking from the official and review photos, the new Nexus 7 looks really elegant compared to the previous model.

The new Google Nexus 7 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2 GB of RAM, ensuring awesome performance for gaming and 3D graphics. Opening apps should also be much quicker and more responsive than before.

Not to mention the new gorgeous 7.02” 1920×1200 LCD display with 323ppi, which will make any gadget lovers drool in awe. Simply to say, you should be looking at one of the best display in tablets so far. It beats the iPad mini’s 1024-by-768 resolution at 163 pixels per inch (ppi) by far. I hope Apple is listening and preparing for something better in the near coming future.

It is also powered by a 1.2MP front facing camera (for video calls and self-portrait), 5MP rear facing camera capable of recording 1080p videos, LTE support (optional model), NFC (Android Beam), Bluetooth 4.0, and the latest Android Jelly Bean (4.3) comes preinstalled. I haven’t actually seen photos taken by the new Nexus 7’s camera but obviously, don’t expect too much from a tablet.

Google Nexus 7 is available now at Google Play Store (not in Australia yet though, sigh) in 3 different models: 16GB Wi-Fi, 32GB Wi-Fi, and 32GB Wi-Fi/LTE/HSPA+.
