This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Nielsen Research. All opinions are 100% mine.
Nokia and Nielsen are teaming together to build a panel for smartphone users to help them out in a research. The Mobile Panelanel is basically designed to help the mobile industry in understanding how mobile phone consumers use their phones such as when do they normally make and receive phone calls, how long do they normally talk on the phone, what type of Bluetooth devices that people normally connect their phones on, what sites do they normally visit with their phones, and so on. If you are interested to help them on this research and earn a Nokia $100 gift certificate after a year as the reward, read on!
To join the panel, you basically need to sign up/register your interest and fill in your details so they can send you the gift certificate later. Nielsen will then send you an sms to your phone with the instructions to download and install the application in your Nokia phone. According to them, the application will be running in the background and won’t take lots of system resources.
The app will then monitor your activities with the phone. Although this may sound scary at first (privacy issues etc), they claim that the application is no where used to identify you, your caller/recipient, or any other sensitive information. You can check their FAQ page to find out what data is being collected and what’s not.
I don’t have a Nokia phone but if you do and would like to get a Nokia $100 gift certificate while helping out the mobile industry to provide a better service in the future, feel free to join the Mobile Panel.
