Approaching the end of 2022, Creative just released their latest Bluetooth earbuds called Creative Sensemore Air (AUD 134.95). It is the lightest and smallest form in their True Wireless lineup. It comes with built-in Sensemore technology which acts as a hearing amplifier that helps boost surrounding sound. So let’s find out if it’s any good.
Key Features
Ambient Mode, Active Noise Cancellation, up to 35 hours of total playtime, Bluetooth 5.2, and IPX5-certified
What’s in the box?
- 1 x Creative Sensemore Air
- 1 x USB-C Charging Case
- 1 x USB-C Charging Cable
- 1 x Pair of (S), (M), and (L) Silicone Ear Tips
- 1 x Quick Start Guide
First Impression & Comfort
The charging case is significantly smaller than Creative’s Outlier series, which fits perfectly in my pocket. The earbuds are lighter and marginally smaller too. When I put them on, they feel comfortable in my ears without any discomfort whatsoever.
Pairing Process
The pairing process is super simple. I just removed both earbuds from the case and they will automatically go into pairing mode. Then, search “Sensemore Air” from your device and that’s it. Please note that you’ll need to download the Creative app (available on both iTunes and Google Play Store) beforehand.
Sound Quality
The sound quality is great, as I’ve been using these earbuds for podcasts and music in the past two weeks. It’s got enough bass and treble for my taste.
I must say the ANC is really good at blocking external noises so, it is my favourite mode. Plus, there is a Sensemore mode which you’ll need to double tap your left earbud to activate or you can do this from the Creative app. Basically it does the opposite of ANC which amplifies the external noises. The ideal use case would be if you’re in your workplace and you still wish to hear background noise to keep you aware of your surroundings.
Range
The range of these Sensemore Air is fantastic. I literally can walk anywhere in my house (approx 500m2) and outside of my house (i.e. doing gardening) without losing any connection (even between solid walls). I was blown away by the range of the Bluetooth 5.2.
Battery Life
The Creative Sensemore Air’s battery life is more than enough for my needs. It claims to give you up to 35 hours of playtime and I truly believe the claim. You can also give it a quick boost should you need one, just by giving it a 10-mute charge, gives you up to 2 hours of listening time. How awesome is that? The charging case is charged with the provided USB-C cable.
