CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS Review – A Lightweight Legend

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS Review

The CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS excels as a lightweight, high-performance gaming mouse, offering precise control with its CORSAIR MARKSMAN Optical Sensor and SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS technology. Ideal for FPS gamers, it combines ergonomic design with dual connectivity, making it a top choice for serious gaming enthusiasts.

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS Review – Not just another contender, the CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS is a champion in the wireless gaming mouse arena. Sure, I loved the KATAR ELITE WIRELESS, but this one takes it up a notch. Lighter than its predecessor and boasting a more comfortable shape for larger hands, the M75 AIR is a game-changer for FPS enthusiasts.

However, the new M75 AIR WIRELESS is actually even lighter than the KATAR ELITE WIRELESS, even though its shape and dimensions are larger. Those who complained about the KATAR ELITE WIRELESS being too small for their hands should now be delighted with the M75 AIR WIRELESS shape and design.

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS REVIEW – DESIGN AND FEATURES

The M75 AIR WIRELESS is built symmetrically with fine details around the mouse to ensure great comfort and grip, perfect for use in highly competitive FPS games like Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, or Overwatch 2. It’s perfectly and symmetrically contoured on both sides of the mouse so that your fingers wrap around it tightly and nicely.

At 60 grams, it strikes the perfect balance between lightness and control. I normally don’t like mice that are too light, but the M75 AIR has excellent shape and weight balance to compensate.

The mouse is powered by the CORSAIR MARKSMAN Optical Sensor that supports up to 26,000 DPI, 650 IPS Tracking, and up to 50G acceleration. For wireless tech, the mouse utilizes CORSAIR’s SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS technology, and I’ve never encountered any lag issues with it.

It supports both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, so if you are using the mouse for both gaming and work, you can switch between these connection types with the button at the bottom of the mouse. By switching to Bluetooth, you’ll get more battery life at the expense of wireless performance (which you don’t need for desktop tasks like browsing, etc.).

Speaking of battery life, the CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS will last up to 34 hours on 2.4GHz and 100 hours on Bluetooth.

My only complaint is that I wish it had an extra DPI switch button accessible on top of the mouse. Thankfully, I can assign this to one of the side buttons on the mouse, but it would be nice to have a dedicated one on top. Assigning it to a side button is prone to accidental presses during frantic battles.

As for the primary buttons (Left and Right), CORSAIR calls them CORSAIR QUICKSTRIKE buttons. They are punchy, fast, and sounds crispy when pressed – thanks to being optical switches, and should guarantee around 100 million clicks.

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS REVIEW – GAMING EXPERIENCE

So what’s it actually like gaming with the CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS? As expected, the mouse feels good to hold, and the shape of the mouse fits my hand well. Thanks to its lightweight design, gliding it over the mouse pad feels effortless, even when I have to lift the mouse up a few times.

The sensor is fast and accurate. I have no issues with both tracking and flick shots while I tested the mouse playing Overwatch 2, a fast-paced, online, first-person shooter.

Here is a gameplay montage video I made while playing Overwatch 2 with the mouse:

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS-REVIEW

In conclusion, the CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS stands out as a top-tier contender in the realm of wireless gaming mice. It combines lightweight design with ergonomic comfort, particularly for those with larger hands. Its impressive 60-gram weight, balanced with a responsive and precise CORSAIR MARKSMAN Optical Sensor, makes it a formidable tool for any serious gamer, especially in fast-paced FPS games.

The versatility offered by its dual connectivity options (2.4GHz and Bluetooth) adds to its appeal, catering to both gaming and general desktop use. While the absence of a dedicated DPI switch button on top is a minor setback, the customisable side buttons offer a workable solution.

Overall, the CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS not only meets the expectations set by its predecessors but also raises the bar for what gamers can expect from a lightweight, high-performance wireless mouse. With its blend of speed, precision, and ergonomic design, it’s an excellent choice for gamers looking to upgrade their gaming setup.

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS retails for A$249 and is available now at retailers around Australia like Scorptec and JB Hi-Fi. Also available at Amazon.
