After weeks of waiting, Microsoft finally launched the Microsoft Outlook Social Connector provider for Facebook. This allows you to connect to Facebook using the Outlook social connector to grab your friends’ status and their recently posted items at Facebook.
This means that you can now link your Microsoft Outlook to your friends’ Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, and also Windows Live accounts. There’s nothing better than adding a few things to chat about when you are replying to his/her email, thanks to the status updates at the bottom of the email! Even though I was quite happy with the LinkedIn connector, most of my casual friends are on Facebook rather than LinkedIn.
