Sony Interactive Entertainment is excited to announce the launch of the redesigned PS5 Console (slim model group), available in Australia from December 6, with pre-orders starting today. This revamped version retains the power of its predecessors while boasting a 1TB storage capacity for both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition.
Unique to the PS5 Digital Edition is the option to incorporate an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive, which can also be purchased separately.
The newly designed PS5 caters to the changing preferences of gamers by offering more options and adaptability. Despite its reduced size – over 30% smaller in volume and 18-24% lighter than previous models – it packs the same advanced technology features. The console features a sleek design with four detachable panels, combining glossy and matte finishes.
For those opting for the PS5 Digital Edition, the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive can be added later, available for $159.95 AUD.
