Samsung goes big with a 43-inch, first Mini-LED Flat Gaming Monitor in Australia

Samsung Electronics has introduced its first flat Mini-LED monitor, the Odyssey Neo G7, in Australia. This new offering adds a new form factor to the company’s leading Odyssey lineup and delivers a large screen for gamers that offers them a comprehensive range of vision and details, along with life-like picture quality, to explore the worlds of their games.

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 is designed to provide gamers with astoundingly clear picture quality, a customisable high-performance viewing environment, and personalised features for optimal gaming and entertainment.

The large 43-inch screen features 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) with VESA Display HDR600 and HDR 10+ certification, showcasing some of the best graphics of today. Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Technology uses Quantum Mini LEDs to enable ultra-fine and precise control of the densely packed LEDs, resulting in richer blacks, more expansive colour expression and more detail, even in shadowy gaming environments. The Matte Display reduces light reflection on the screen, minimising distractions during the most intense gaming sessions, enabling players to stay focused on the game and the stunning visual performance.

The Odyssey Neo G7 is a great monitor for any gaming platform – using DisplayPort or HDMI connection to connect to a user’s gaming rig, HDMI 2.1 to play on their latest game console, or to play a mobile game on a larger 43-inch screen through built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

A 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms (MPRT) response time enable swift, smooth responses, and precise mouse movements, keeping gameplay smooth and fast-paced, even during the most intense moments. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support reduces stuttering, input latency and screen tearing.

The monitor offers several innovative features, allowing gamers to customise their gaming experiences, such as adjusting the screen size, position and screen ratio for a personalised gaming setup. Flex Move Screen enables gamers to adjust the screen size between 43- and 20-inches, to match their preferred size based on the game they play, and even change the screen position so that they can always perform at their best.

Samsung Smart Hub is built-in, offering a centralised hub experience that brings Entertainment, Gaming, and SmartThings together in one place. With Smart Hub, content curation and discovery is front and centre, enabling gamers to spend less time searching and more time streaming the movies, shows, and games they enjoy. The Odyssey Neo G7 provides access to several over-the-top (OTT) content apps such as Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube. Furthermore, Samsung’s Tizen OS-powered entertainment hub delivers access to Samsung TV Plus, the brand’s free ad-supported TV (FAST) and video-on-demand service that offers 90+ channels in Australia and thousands of shows and movies on-demand.

The Odyssey Neo G7 is now available from JB Hi-Hi and the Samsung Online Store with an RRP of A$1,799.
