The Reno8 Lite 5G (check my full review out) is a formidable phone at an affordable price but if you are craving for something more from the Reno8 family, there is a better news. OPPO has just announced the availability of Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G here in local Australian retailers.
According to Michael Tran, OPPO Australia’s Managing Director, OPPO has shipped over 80 million Reno devices worldwide since OPPO launched the Reno series back in 2019. I’m currently in Indonesia and I can see many Reno8 banners almost everywhere here, indicating a strong OPPO presence in the country.
Both new devices are powered by Dual Sony Flagship Sensors, including the 32MP IMX709 RGBW sensor for the selfie camera and a 50MP IMX766 sensor in the rear. And thanks to MariSilicon X imaging NPU, the devices are also capable of 4K Ultra Nightand 4K Ultra HDR Video.
Thanks to OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC charging tech, it can charge the phones’ 4,500mAh battery from 0 to 50% in about 10 minutes, and to 100% in 30 minutes. There is also OPPO’s Battery Health Engine which keeps Reno8 series devices up to 80% original capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles – which is twice the industry standard.
The Reno8 Pro 5G is definitely the one with a higher spec: MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX SoC, Ultra-Conductive Cooling System, 8GB RAM & 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone weighs around 183 grams. The Reno8 5G is slightly thinner at 179 grams.
