LOGITECH G325 REVIEW – DESIGN AND FEATURES

The G325 audio is clear and well-balanced across different use cases – whether you’re playing games, listening to music, or watching movies. The bass has enough presence to add impact without overwhelming the mids and highs, creating an enjoyable listening experience but it’s clear the the headset is most likely being focused for gaming. While you can enjoy listening to music and movie watching, these won’t give you the most immersive experience.

The audio positioning deserves a stand out though. In competitive games like Overwatch, the G325 provides accurate directional audio that lets you pinpoint enemy positions with confidence. During team fights in cramped spaces with multiple entry points, I could focus my eyes on aiming and rely entirely on my ears to detect flankers trying to sneak behind us. That level of audio confidence is rare, especially at this price point. I rarely felt the need to visually check corners because the headset’s spatial audio was reliable enough to trust completely.

The G325 features a built-in beamforming microphone instead of a traditional boom mic. This might concern some users who prefer the flexibility of a physical boom and audio quality, but the beamforming mic performs admirably for its intended use cases.

The microphone includes AI-powered noise reduction that minimises ambient sounds. I usually game in my bedroom which is a quiet environment, so pardon me for not giving it a good test. My Overwatch teammate never had any issues hearing me clearly during matches but the microphone quality is not the best out there. However, it’s more than adequate for gaming communication and video meetings.

The boomless design does offer a significant advantage if you plan to use the headset outside gaming. Without a visible microphone sticking out, the G325 looks like a regular pair of headphones, making it perfectly suitable for commuting or wearing out and about. There is no noise cancelling though (that will push both the price and weight up).

At just 212 grams, the G325 is remarkably light. This low weight makes a noticeable difference during extended gaming sessions or all-day wear. The headset features seamless, breathable knit fabric, a plush headband, and dual-layer memory foam earcups that distribute pressure evenly around your ears. The headset is mostly made of plastic so it’s a tradeoff between weight and having a more luxurious feel.

The comfort level is really good though. I’ve been using the Logitech G PRO X 2 Wireless headset as my main gaming headset, and it definitely has more superior sound and design quality. However, the PRO X 2 feels noticeably heavier and bulkier compared to the G325. For long gaming sessions or all-day use, the G325’s lightweight design becomes a major advantage. You can wear this headset for hours without experiencing fatigue or pressure points.

The adjustable fit ensures a secure, comfortable seal without clamping too tightly. The breathable materials prevent heat buildup, which is particularly good during long and intense gaming sessions.

The G325 offers both LIGHTSPEED wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, giving you flexibility in how you use the headset. LIGHTSPEED delivers ultra-fast wireless performance with up to 30 metres of range. The connection is rock-solid when I tested, letting you move around your space without dropouts or connection issues.

Bluetooth connectivity opens up the headset for use with smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. Like I mentioned before, this makes the G325 practical for commuting – you can connect it to your phone for music, podcasts, or mobile gaming.

Logitech claims 24+ hours of battery life so you can expect a full day of gaming or more on a single charge (or if you only game a few hours a day, up to a week).

The G325 integrates with Logitech’s G HUB software and mobile app, allowing you to customise audio settings to your preference. You can choose from easy-to-use audio presets or create custom EQ profiles tailored to specific games or music genres. The software is straightforward and doesn’t require extensive tweaking to get good results, though the option for deeper customisation is there if you want it.

LOGITECH G325 REVIEW CONCLUSION

Logitech G325 LIGHTSPEED

The Logitech G325 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset delivers a good value for gaming through its combination of audio positioning, outstanding comfort, and practical dual connectivity. The lightweight 212-gram design ensures all-day comfort without fatigue and beamforming mic design means you can wear this headset while you are commuting, or to play games with your gaming laptop during a class break.

The built-in beamforming microphone won’t satisfy content creators, but it handles gaming communication and video calls sufficiently. Audio is good too for gaming but definitely nothing to brag about.

For gamers seeking a comfortable, lightweight headset with good audio performance for gaming at a reasonable price, the Logitech G325 is a great choice at the price point. The Logitech G325 retails for A$199.95 and is available now for purchase at retailers around Australia.
