While the Razer Blade gaming laptop is still popular to many gamers for its slimness, Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) has just taken the world’s slimmest gaming laptop title with the new release of the Zephyrus S (GX531) – measuring 14.95-15.75mm in thinness.
I’m still using the Asus ROG GL502VT gaming laptop which I won’t definitely consider as slim, but it never overheats and has been performing well ever since I got it from Asus back in 2016!
Asus Zephyrus S Specifications are beefy and will make you drool:
- Up to Intel Core i7-8750H CPU
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q or GTX 1060 GPU
- DDR4 2666MHz RAM
- NVMe Storage
- USB Type C and A
- 15.6-inch IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate (3ms response rate)
- Asus’ advanced cooling system with proprietary Active Aerodynamic System (AAS)
The Zephyrus S (GX531) is around 12% slimmer than the original Zephyrus (GX501), 22% improved airflow with twice as many heatsinks & exhaust vents and 17% more fan blades.
Asus Zephyrus S will be available in Australia around late October with pricing and configuration options to be announced later.
