There are many different tools out there that create PDFs out of HTML files, but people who use them are often not completely satisfied. The reason is that most of these creators will make you a PDF that includes all of the annoying ads, categories and comments along with the content of the webpage that interests you.

Wouldn’t you like to be able to create a PDF out of a webpage that just has the content on it, without any extraneous details and annoying ads? Thankfully, there is a way to do this, in fact there are several.

Here are some of the best tools that you have use to make clean and easily readable PDFs out of webpages with just a few clicks of the mouse.

Print Friendly

This is an easy-to-use tool for getting all of the unwanted content out of your PDF and it works great. All you have to do is enter the URL of the page that you want to convert into a PDF. Printer Friendly creates a print preview for you, devoid of all ads and unwanted information, and from there you can either print the pages out or convert them to PDF, and then save them to your computer with just one click.

Printer Friendly will get rid of the ads and other bothersome content but it will usually leave pictures from the webpage. If you want to get rid of them as well, you can do so manually before converting the file to a PDF. It actually allows you to completely edit the content – pictures, texts, everything really – before turning it into a PDF.

Joli Print

Joli Print is actually even easier to use than Printer Friendly. Just enter the URL of the webpage you want to convert into an ad-free PDF and that’s it.

A PDF will be made for you immediately, and then you will be given several options as to what you want to do with it (save it to your computer, send it to your Google Docs account, share it on Facebook or Twitter, etc).

Readability

This site offers free browser add-ons for Chrome and Firefox that allow you to get all of the unnecessary content out of the webpages that you are interested in reading. However, it will not make a PDF for you on its own.

Go to the website you are interested in and then click on the Readability icon that appears on your toolbar once the add-on has been installed, and go to “Read Now.” You will get a clean and ad-less version of the website you want and a Readability URL that you can now use to make a PDF.

To turn the webpage into a PDF, you can use one of the many PDF creators out there, for our example, we used FreePDF Converter (http://www.pdfconverter.com/freepdfcreator/).

Clickreadability_3 the Print button on the left side of the Readability page and then send the page to the FreePDF Converter tool instead of your printer. Now click “Create PDF” on the FreePDF Converter tool and it will create a perfect, ad-free PDF for you out of the Readability file.
