Windows Phone 7

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled Windows Phone 7 devices (not to be confused with Windows 7  Phones :)), news, and also launch dates today. I was actually invited to attend the launch event here in Australia, unfortunately it’s being held in Sydney so I couldn’t make it. If you want to see the Press Conference in the U.S, feel free to browse the videos and other press resources over at Microsoft News Center.

From a first glance at the screenshots, Windows Phone 7 UI is not really my cup of tea (big color boxes don’t interest me much). But then again, I haven’t actually tried using a Windows Phone 7 so I should keep my mouth shut :) Windows Phone 7 will be available on Thursday, 21 October.

Will you be getting a Windows 7 Phone? Argh, I mean, Windows Phone 7?
