Swann proudly introduces its latest breakthrough, the MaxRanger4K. This cutting-edge security camera recently grabbed prestigious accolades at the CES 2024 expo, including the Best of CES awards from TWICE, TechRadar Pro, Residential Systems, and the Gear Brain Editor’s Choice 2024 awards.
Setting a new standard in smart security solutions, the MaxRanger4K stands out for its exceptional wireless range, utilising advanced 900MHz long-range wireless technology. This revolutionary camera boasts the longest, strongest signal range in comparison to conventional 2.4GHz Wi-Fi-based security cameras, extending up to 2,000 feet in open spaces – an impressive 20x coverage compared to most Wi-Fi cameras.
Designed with convenience and efficiency in mind, MaxRanger4K cameras come pre-paired with the hub, ensuring quick and easy setup. Featuring built-in solar panels, these cameras eliminate the need for recharging, providing a worry-free security solution. Equipped with 2-way audio and True Detect+ technology, the system detects heat, motion, people, and cars, triggering mobile alerts, video recording, spotlights, and sirens – all seamlessly controllable through the Swann Security app.
MaxRanger4K cameras utilise best-in-class Sony STARVIS sensors, delivering enhanced rich 4K colour video day and night. Built to withstand all weather conditions, these cameras are ideal for various applications, including perimeter fences on large properties, farms, car parks, warehouses, and businesses.
The hub comes with 64GB local memory, cloud backup for free recording, and a battery offering up to 5 hours of backup power in case of on-site power outages. Available in configurations of 2, 3, or 4 cameras and a hub, users can expand their coverage by adding extra cameras, monitoring up to 8 cameras on the same hub.
MaxRanger4K is exclusively available from leading retailers such as JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings Warehouse, Harvey Norman, Amazon, and Swann.com. Retail prices are (in AUD inc GST): two-camera kit AU$949.95, four-camera kit AU$1699.95, and extra camera AU$399.95.
The annoyance with wireless security camera is usually when it is time for you to recharge the camera. With the solar-powered MaxRanger 4K, we may actually be able to say goodbye to recharging for good (except during Winter times in Melbourne, probably). However, there is also an innovative to charge the spare battery like the Swann AllSecure650 that I reviewed before so make sure you check it out.
