Caudabe the Veil XT iPhone 7 / 7 Plus Review | Giveaway Info at the Bottom of the post – Honestly it’s been a while since I review phone cases. To be honest, I haven’t been using cases for many years with my phone and I wasn’t planning on using one. I never dropped my phone (well, maybe once when it slided out of my pants while sitting) and always took good care of it.
However, Caudabe’s the Veil XT has a minimalist look and probably one of the thinnest and slimmest iPhone cases around. It’s simply too enticing not to consider using it on my phone. I simply love how my iPhone 7 Plus and the Veil XT blends together into one.
The Veil XT is only 0.35mm in thickness and wraps perfectly around the iPhone 7 Plus. I had plenty of praises from friends who wouldn’t have thought that I was actually using a case on my new iPhone.
All cut-outs are perfect and again, you will barely recognise that there is actually a case wrapped around the phone. Due to the thinness (which makes it a bit fragile), however, it’s a case that you shouldn’t take off and on regularly. Thankfully, I could still plug my third-party Lightning cables such as the STM Elite Series 2-in-1 and MOS Spring Lightning without having to take the bottom part of the case off (which you need to do to some other third party cases).
However, the Caudabe Veil XT will not offer hardcore protection such as drops, because the case is definitely not designed for them. Bumps and scratches are fine, and I love how I can now place my phone on any surface with no worries.
The Veil XT also adds grip to the slippery-feel iPhone 7/7 Plus. I find that I now have more confidence in interacting with my iPhone 7 Plus with one hand compared to before.
I do find that it’s a bit harder to feel the buttons (power, volume, and mute buttons) with a touch because the case wraps narrowly around them. It takes some time to get used to. Water drops could also get in-between the case during a heavy rain or when the phone gets drenched.
The Veil XT comes in different colours to match your iPhone 7/7 Plus models such as Stealth Black (for Matte Black iPhone like mine), Rose Gold Metallic (for Rose Gold iPhone), Gold Metallic (for Gold iPhone), Frost (for Silver iPhone), and the Wisp.
The Veil XT Frost on a Rose Gold iPhone 7 Plus looks great too:
Caudabe Veil XT Review Conclusion
Overall, I’m very impressed with the Veil XT from Caudabe. It looks great and precisely blends in with the iPhone 7 Plus. Thanks to its minimalist and slim design, it doesn’t have any noticeable weight to my iPhone 7 Plus, yet makes it more grippy and safe than going completely naked.
As I said, it’s been a few years since I had a case on my phone, but it looks like Caudabe Veil XT is going to break that and I cannot be happier.
Disclosure: Samples were supplied for reviewing but all opinions are mine and not paid.
