Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile line launches with advanced gaming features and ultra-slim design

Razer has dropped its most advanced low-profile gaming keyboards yet, bringing the BlackWidow legacy into a much sleeker form factor. The BlackWidow V4 Low-profile HyperSpeed and BlackWidow V4 Low-profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed represent 15 years of keyboard evolution, now packed into an ultra-slim design that fits naturally into modern gaming setups and they look gorgeous.

These new keyboards mark the first time Razer has introduced low-profile mechanical switches to the BlackWidow line, maintaining the satisfying keystroke feel the series is known for while reducing the overall profile. The familiar green clicky, yellow linear, and orange tactile switches are now available in this slimmer format, engineered with circular stem walls that allow Razer Chroma RGB lighting to shine through with maximum brilliance.

I’ve used and reviewed a few low-profile keyboards in the past and they look really good on the desk and aesthetically pleasing.

The ergonomic improvements are substantial. With an ultra-low 18.5mm front height and angled chassis, the keyboards encourage natural wrist positioning during extended gaming sessions. This design approach eliminates the need for a wrist rest while supporting comfortable gameplay across long grinding sessions, competitive matches, or exploration marathons. The reduced key height promotes better wrist alignment, addressing one of the common comfort issues with traditional mechanical keyboards.

Build quality remains uncompromising with a premium 5052 aluminium alloy top case, dual sound-dampening foam layers, pre-lubricated stabilisers, and a stainless steel plate. These components work together to deliver clean, crisp typing sounds and ultra-satisfying keystroke feedback. The switches themselves are factory-lubricated and tested for up to 80 million keystrokes, exceeding industry standards by 1.6 times.

Connectivity comes through Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology, delivering the usual ultra-fast 2.4 GHz performance with up to 1000Hz polling rate for lag-free responsiveness. Both keyboards support pairing with compatible Razer gaming mice to the same dongle and can connect up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously for seamless multitasking across different platforms.

The feature set includes a clickable multi-function roller and dedicated macro buttons and controls, providing quick access to macros, music controls, and battery status without interrupting gameplay. Power Saving Mode extends battery life to an impressive 980 hours on a single charge, perfect for marathon gaming sessions or all-night streaming.

A notable gaming enhancement is the built-in Razer Snap Tap feature, which instantly prioritises the latest input between two keys without requiring users to release the first key. This tactical advantage can be particularly useful in competitive scenarios where precise movement inputs matter.

Australia Pricing and Availability

Both models are available now through Razer.com and select retailers worldwide. The full-size BlackWidow V4 Low-profile HyperSpeed carries an RRP of $359.95 AUD, while the Tenkeyless variant is priced at $299.95 AUD.
