OPPO launches its first tablet in Australia

OPPO’s first tablet, OPPO PadAir, is now on sale in Australia for A$379 RRP which is quite an affordable tablet.

It has a 10.36″ 2K display powered by the Snapdragon 680 8-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal storage. Weighing about 440 grams with a slim body (6.94mm thickness), it looks like OPPO’s tablet is going to be a favourite among many.

OPPO PadAir has 7,100mAh internal battery and according to OPPO, can run around 12 hours of movie watching non-stop (and with Dolby Atmos, movies will sound even better). The tablet can be fast-charged via USB-PD’s 18W.

It is definitely expected for OPPO to launch their tablet product line, considering we already have OPPO smartphones, wearables, and hearables (earbuds, etc). A tablet will be a nice addition to their ecosystem for sure.

As to why it takes some time before we see an OPPO tablet, OPPO Australia Managing Director Michael Tran said: “As a business we’ve been working really hard to develop an ecosystem of products that our consumers would love. Our tablet has been in development for some time now, but we wanted to ensure the product was perfect before bringing it to market. We’re confident we’ve achieved that.”

To celebrate the launch of the OPPO Pad Air, it will be offered as a Gift with any purchase of an OPPO Find X5 Pro ($1,799) or OPPO Find X5 ($1,399). Customers will also receive one OPPO Smart Cover (valued at $79). The promotion is available from 27 October 2022 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) on 24 November 2022.
