OPPO Reno11 F 5G Review – A Mid-Range Gem with Flagship Potential

I have been using an OPPO phone for the past 5 years and I have played around with a few OPPO phones, from the humble OPPO A53, to the magnificent flagship phone of OPPO Find X2 Pro. But I never had the chance to get my hands on a mid range model, so reviewing Oppo Reno11 F 5G will tick this box for me. So without further ado, let’s jump into it.

OPPO RENO11 F 5G REVIEW – DESIGN AND FEATURES

The first thing I noticed was the slick design and the size of the phone itself. It is smaller than my old one, but it is still big enough to enjoy movies. In fact, it is the perfect size for my hand. I also welcome the fact that Oppo Reno11 F 5G is not curved like my Oppo Find X2 Pro so I do not always accidentally touch the screen when I don’t mean to. I also appreciate the fact that all of the side buttons are on the right side and if you are right handed like me, you can reach these buttons with your thumb. Like I said, the perfect size for my hand.

The next thing that I thought was impressive is the performance and the power of this so-called “mid range” gadget. I honestly could not tell the difference in performance and speed. Looking at the specification of OPPO Reno11 F 5G, it looks to be on par with my top of the line, a few years old, OPPO Find X2 Pro which I still use now (in my opinion a fantastic phone that is still technologically relevant even now). The 120Hz refresh rate made all animation look smooth and fancy.

This needs to be mentioned: The Super VOOC 65W fast charging is really a game changer. Honestly, I never charge my phone at night when I sleep anymore. If you only have 2 percent left on the phone, it will approximately take around 45 minutes for it to be fully charged. I know this is not a new tech for OPPO, but having this on the OPPO Reno11 F 5G is a big big plus. If this tech can be applied to a wireless charger, that would even be more amazing.

It is a smart phone, so we need to talk about the most important feature…the camera. The camera on this one is decent, thanks to its Triple Camera system: the 64MP Main camera, 112-degree Ultra-Wide-Angle camera, and a 2MP Macro camera.

As usual, I do have some snaps I took with various modes of the phone. I even tried the filtering it has. It even has an exposure setting at the normal photo mode. Another thing that I saw interesting was the pro mode. Now I am not a pro photographer, but if I was, being able to control ISO, shutter speed, and focus would certainly be very useful.

OPPO RENO11 F 5G REVIEW CONCLUSION

All in all though, the OPPO Reno11 F 5G is a great phone. I am not saying that it is good for a mid range phone, but I’m saying that it is a good phone in general. Having it at a mid-range price is just a plus. All the more reason to get it.

It has a 120Hz refresh rate on a big 6.7″ AMOLED screen (2412×1080 FHD+ resolution)with 93.4% Screen-to-Body ratio and HDR10+ certified. It is also rated IP65 with Water and Dust resistance so you can bring the phone to outdoor activities with a peace of mind.

Performance wise, it’s powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 running 8-cores with 8GB RAM, and 256GB ROM Storage capacity.

OPPO Reno11 F 5G retails for A$599 and is available in two different colour variations: Palm Green and Ocean Blue.
