Microsoft challenges: Can you organise an entire wedding in 5 days with just a PC?

Marry me microsoft

Marry Me Microsoft is a campaign starts on Monday the 6th of December 2010 to provide winning couple Mike and Jenny from Liverpool $20,000 towards planning their wedding and $5,000 towards the honeymoon. Sounds great, eh? But there is one very large catch…

Mike will have just five days to organise the entire wedding – think budgets, flowers, venue, the bucks/hens night and THE DRESS – using only an internet-connected PC loaded with Windows 7, Windows Live and Office 2010. All this, while living in isolation from his fiancé in a Bachelor Bubble outside of Customs House in Sydney’s CBD. What a challenge!

All the action can be followed on the Facebook fan page where fans can get involved in the conversation and wedding suppliers will be able to help him out by submitting proposals and advice through his online SkyDrive in Windows Live. There is also the opportunity to interact with Mike in-person by visiting the bubble at Customs House at Circular Quay.

Mike’s progress can also be followed via the @Windows7AU Twitter handle and #MMMicrosoft hashtag where there is the chance to win one of five Windows Phone 7 handsets. Each day of the challenge an HTC 7 Mozart Windows Phone 7 valued at $768.00* will be up for grabs.

Jenny and Mike’s winning video entry:

Sounds like a fun challenge although 5 days to organise a whole wedding sounds insane… all of my friends organise their wedding in like a whole year so this will definitely be fun to follow! If asked whether I would do this kind of challenge, sure, why not? :)
