If you are in the Qantas Frequenty Flyer program to earn QFF points, you should know that Qantas announced a partnership with Afterpay last week. This means that you can now earn QFF points when using Afterpay to make a purchase. Note that this offer is available to the first 50,000 Existing Afterpay customers who link their Qantas Frequent Flyer account to Afterpay, so link your accounts NOW.
It is definitely a win-win. You can pay your purchase in installments through Afterpay with no interest (meaning, you’ll have more money in your bank account rather than having to pay everything in one go) PLUS now you can also earn extra Qantas Frequent Flyer points (on top of your credit card’s QFF reward points, if you are using one).
If you already have an Afterpay account and a QFF account, here is how you link them so you can start earning points with Afterpay:
- Login to your Afterpay account
- Go to “My Account”
- You should be able to see the Qantas Frequent Flyer banner on the right side of your dashboard:
- Click on the “LINK ACCOUNT” button and just follow the instructions (enter your Frequent Flyer number and your surname)
How you earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points with Afterpay
For new Afterpay customers, you will earn 500 bonus Qantas Points on sign up, then 1 point per $1 spent, up to a total of 5,000 points by 8 March 2021. But do read the footprint on the Afterpay page for more details.
For existing Afterpay customers, you will earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent after the first $1,000 spent, and up to a total of 5,000 Qantas Points by 8 March 2021.
